I am currently TASing this game and so far I have made a small WIP: WIP. My goal is to have a 100% completion, because the completion rate is kept on a scoreboard and it looks better if all is perfect. Already some bad / good news (depends on how you look at it): I found a little technique that can probably save around 10 frames each time a floor tile is blasted when some special condition is fulfilled. I think this will save around 30 frames in the first level alone. This means that I will have to do everything from scratch again. Tell me what do you think about it?

I wasn't able to get it running back when I was testing lots of N64 ROMs, which plugin are you using?

For anyone who is interested: I redid level 1 and it turned out to be 121 frames faster than the WIP.

Did anyone watch the WIP yet? I could post a new one, but I won't bother if nobody is interested. I now completely redid everything and it turned out to be 2017 frames faster. The new strategy gave even more opportunities to improvement.

Maybe you should post a better WIP then? The reason there's not much response is partly because of the emulator. I can understand all those people who don't even want to have anything with Mupen, it's sometimes annoying to even think about using it. Maybe you should encode the movie and upload it to googlevideos/youtube?

I'm glad you're taking the time to speak on everybody's behalf and trying to impose your dislike for mupen and pass it off as what the other 2,00ish members feel. I have not had the time to get the ROM yet; last time I did, it didn't work for me, so I don't want to waste effort. And this isn't exactly the most popular of all n64 games, so people tripping over themselves to post likely won't happen. The crickets aren't chirping, but they are watching, so work away.

Dude, learn to read or something.

I hope you're going to tell me Mupen is actually okay and it's generally agreed that it's a stable and easy to use emulator. Otherwise your righteous outburst™ bears no relevance whatsoever.
