I tried to do a run on puzzle mode. It turned out pretty horrible. You can easily see me go slow sometimes, because it doesn't input my buttons in time (during slowdown). Link: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1338148318/TetrisAttack%28US%29.smv This time, I used SNES9X. This can be improved a lot.

Puzzle Mode would be kind of boring, unless you could think of new, weird solutions to the later puzzles that aren't normally possible without slowdown/dumb luck. I don't see this going anywhere, sorry :(

Yeah, I thought this might be boring. That's why I only did the first set. Well, should I do the second set, trying to make it more interesting?

How about you do what the latest speedrun did and do a vs mode on very hard? See how fast you could beat all 12 CPU players? That I would like to see.

Ditto. The puzzle mode is great and all, but VS CPU has more potential.

I don't know... I don't have that kind of luck (getting the right pieces). It probably won't be as fast as possible. Well, I can try, though.

Oh, shoot! I just remembered. How do you fix desyncing? Every movie I play desyncs. Most movies I made don't desync, except maybe this one, since the tiles are always random when I start a level. If this problem can't be fixed, I can't do the run. >_< - Uh, should I input the "BALL" password? I don't know if it will help in VS. mode.

Desyncs shouldn't be appearing in a SNES game unless you hex-edited something. It could be if you're using 1.51 and it is not compatible with the game. Try switching to 1.43.

Actually, for the VS mode you need to press Up + L on the mode selection while Hard is highlighted to get Extra Hard difficulty.

What? I know the Extra Hard difficulty. Wait, so the password won't help in VS. mode?

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1883508964/TetrisAttack.smv Demo of the first level. I beat him, no matter what I press when I start switching the purple-diamond tiles like crazy. Please tell me if I should improve it more.

All the way at Hookbill. Before, I was at Raphael the Raven's level. It kept desyncing there, so I played the video again. I save-stated at Wiggler's level, and it desynced at the frog. Thinking this is ZSNES, I loaded. Sigh... then, I had to do the levels again. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1996762370/TetrisAttack.smv I'll continue this soon. I started getting 3 chains in a row after level 5, so I'll redo it, too. I'll be offline for about a month, just to let you know.

This has been done before. It was abandoned due to constant desynching. No matter how many times you play the video, it always desynches at random points. You'd be REALLY lucky if you could play the video all the way to the end without desynching. People publishing runs might have to do a lot of runs with recording JUST to get ONE perfect copy. It can suck up your computer hardcore. Or you could just do it yourself and then upload a run of the game that can be uploaded to a file server for everyone to view and enjoy... that is, if you can even run it all the way to the end without it desynching. It's just too much of a hassle from what I've seen. I've made a short run (non-tool assisted) of Tetris Attack and it desynched constantly for me. :/ Still, I'd LOVE to see a full Very Hard CPU run of Tetris Attack.

DARN! You mean it'll only work right for the computer that made it? I can't upload it to Youtube/Google Video, because I'm not the admin of the computer, and I can't download the program for it.

Despite emulation issues, this probably isn't a big loss. SDA has a very hard versus mode time of 6:19. A TAS probably wouldn't be able to improve it by that much, and it wouldn't get any more interesting either. SDA Movie: http://speeddemosarchive.com/TetrisAttack.html

I think that it can be improved by maybe one minute due to better double and triple combo.
