Pokemon Adventure in 840.33 Ok, first of all, I'm not even going to dare myself to Submit this because it's going to be rejected anyways. Despite the lack of effort, I accidentally put it in 100% Frame Rate recording, taking a couple of hits facing the wrong directions. This was also my first time beating this game. And now to comment about the levels Round 1 At around 029 or so, I accidentally wasted a few frames by turning back. Another big mistake is when I got my first hit by the spikes, I was facing the wrong directions. I also wasted time at 053, going back and forth when unnecessary. When I got hit at 115, I was facing the wrong direction. This still needs some updates... {This Video is now Deleted}

IIRC, this is a hack of a Sonic game. I think it might be better to take the original Sonic game (If you can find it, of course...) and TAS that. Unless, of course, the appeal of this IS that it's a pokemon hack...

I didn't have any friendly way to say this... your movie is completely reversed compared to most of movies on tasvideos. At least you knew how to make savestate and rerecording. Try to play around with frame advance or reduce speed and multiple savestates. Have you not read this page?

When I was Recording this TAS, I didn't know how to Slow it Down, so now I've figured out that this was a disatrous failure and I deleted it and I probably won't even try again.

You mean Sonic 3D Blast 5 (On Gameboy, which does not work on VisualBoy Advance), or Sonic Adventure 7? Sonic Adventure 7 mostly.

You don't need to give up TASing at all! Just learn how to use it and you will be able to make some awesome work.

Thanks! I can always count on you. I might try again, but this time when I do it, I shouldn't screw up too much or else I'll feel so hecking useless.

There aren't even official Sonic games on the Game Boy or Game Boy Color, so even if it's true, those themselves are either pirate games or hacks of other games.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEvlAsu9tYU 6:16.73 I've improved it now! But I'm still afraid of Submitting it here.

Considering there's Koopas in it it seems too be homebrew.

Watched a bit of it, and I think it could be faster. Considering it's Sonic-style, I expected it be a lot faster. It needs more running. Keep trying though!

Some people have said it's a hack of Bonk's Revenge. There is vague similarity, but I'm not sure... If it is, it might be better to run Bonk's Revenge instead of this. Here's a screenshot:

The direct link to the image doesn't work. Also, you really need the right kind of mindset to work on TASes; perfectionist, methodical, patient. If you're not that kind of person, doing a TAS will be difficult and frustrating. If you work out it, learn the common tricks, pace yourself and don't expect miracles, you'll do fine.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/14767863363265814 Its Pikachu in a pirated Sonic game... and is horrible. Main project and pausing Club Penguin... again. Info and details: http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Sonic_3D_Blast_5_(Game_Boy) They are also called Sonic 3D Blast 5 and Sonic Adventure 7, and they are terrible. While TASing this, I couldn't take the horridness (don't know if thats a word but screw it) of it. Pokemon Adventure is the most tolerable one of all of these, so I'm doing that one instead of the other ones because the graphics and sound in those 2 are... well... NO. Oh, yeah... I'm using VBA instead of BizHawk because I don't really think it would take those games. EDIT: for future reference, 2 unoptimized submissions. Optimizing these are pending.

Hey, I remember this game. I have it as a cartridge and I never managed to beat it. :/

I remember it too as a kid. It was in Pokeyplay or something, and I beated it on an emulator. But it was hard and broken as hell.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/14790218363321226 Improved version by 2 seconds by using new tricks. Oyea... you can use the spindash in this game and I will not use it until I have the chance. (BTW its hard to use and not so worth it.)

So after I went willy nilly or something with my attempt and watched Samsara's improvement, I saw something else that he didn't implemented. Thats when Pikachu stops running in order to stay up with the screen (for some reason). A way to avoid that is to jump at that spot where Pikachu doesn't run anymore, saving few frames. Yeah...

I'm redoing this meanwhile I fix up some Dolphin issues. Right now I'm improving Samsa's run by 11 frames, and I'm not even in half of the stage!

Should I remind you he did it on the fly when he obsoleted your first stage? (Rhetorical) He even pointed out that his was improvable when talking about pure optimization. Anyways, if you're using vba make sure it's the latest version if not switch to bizhawk or lsnes.

Improvements are still improvements, regardless of the circumstances.

I discovered something!!! You can jump in the spikes with very specific timing! I discovered it by using the autofire button. I could only perform it while getting hurt.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/15877125753471160 I used the tricks, but is unoptimized due to the use of the upper route instead of the other route.
