This was one of the games that really kicked off the GBA, but is it suitable for TASing? I did a test run to the first base, naturally the beginning is slow, but is the game as a whole gonna be good once it's completely optimized? http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/157520182/M7-BOMBT.vbm Any comments before I continue? EDIT: Yeah the base part is really just me playing around testing out some stuff, but the rest could be an imperfect start for the TAS.

Flame_Gamer had suggested this run previously, but I didn't see too big a difference between this and the SNES game. What differences are there?

Bomberman Tournament is part Bomberman, part Zelda and part Pokemon. There are 5 dungeons and an overworld to explore. Sometimes to get around you'll have to find Karabons (Little monster things) to give Bomberman additional abilities and such. There are a few Karabon fights you have to win, and the occasional minigame. The test run shows a bit of this so check that out if you get a chance.

Will it be a low% run or a all Karabon run (Since you can skip 1) or 100%(All powerups/karabons etc)

I had planned to do a low% run, but abandoned it due to lack of interest. I didn't think the game was too suited for a TAS once I did some more of it. If anyone else wants to attempt this, I'd watch your test runs and such, but I'm not gonna do this run.

Which improvements/bomb upgrades/materials would you suggest getting? The RC bombs might speed things up and can be gotten early, but require decent karabon and several battles... If the oasis could be manipulated to appear on the way to the Volcano, then it'd probably be worth it to get Elekong?

Elekong should speed things up (walking through blocks). Before getting Elekong, the RC Bombs and FireKong? is a good combination. 1 you can move the bombs, and 2 you can detonate them whenever you want. I think Golem Base and Infinity have a lot of charabon switching if memory serves me right.....
