Guide principle

- two players(one control two)
- Aims for fastest time
- Takes damage to save time
- Uses death as shortcut
- Abuses programming errors in the game
- Manipulates luck

Game

Four tortoises, one girl, one mouse and a group of strange men.So interesting organization. The game is very good if two players.I often enjoy this game with my friend on internet. There are four tortoises you can select.Every tortoise has his own weapon, those are double-knife,fork,double truncation stick and stick. Every tortoise also has his own special skill. If you press"AB",you can use special, then you will reduce one HP.You will not reduce HP with "AB" if you have only one HP.Leo(with double-knife) and Don(with stick) have a longer weapon,so their power is ordinary.Raph(with fork) is the nimblest tortoise,so his power is a little weaker.Mike(with double-knife) which I like most, have the biggest power.

Tactics

I take advantage of two players, and I finish the movie in 30:31.We know if it apperas two player, there will be more enemy and BOSS will have more HP.So I let one player be dead in proper time, program will think there is only one player, then I may meet less enemy.
But the count of life is not enough,we must get more life. And score becomes importent. We can get one life if score is 50000(100000 200000 300000 400000 500000).So the higher score is,the more life we have.If we want the higher score,we must finish three things. The first thing, finish the game faster, the left time will become score. The second thing, destory more enemy. There are some enemy you needn't destory, kill them you will get score.Third thing, kill the enemy by hitting them twice.WHy?You can get 200 by using"AB",get 400 by "down+B" and get 600 by by hitting them twice. So hit them twice.
Raph(with fork) is the nimblest tortoise,so I always select him.Mike is the strongest tortoise,so I usually select him in fighting BOSS,but sometimes we can hit BOSS twice by double-knife,so I will select Leo.I think Don is not useful,so I don't select him.It is so pity for Don's fans^_^

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. I'm not sure I got the right ROM though. (I tried Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III - The Manhattan Project (U).nes, which was the closest match to what you wrote.) Well, here goes! Feel free to clean up the list.

adelikat: Accepting for publication as an improvement to the published movie.

So I let one player be dead in proper time,
So that's why... :) It was great to see a 2p run of this, evidently very well executed. Waiting time could have been used more creatively, though. My ears hurt. Still, big Yes Vote from me.

Dromiceius is modest. The reason why I let one player be dead in proper time is that program will think there is only one player. Then program can let me meet less enemr.

So Donatello is so bad that you couldn't show him off at any point without slowing down the run? Anywho, except for some places where maybe lag could have been lessened, I liked the run, I think. I might vote tomorrow after I sleep a little. Maybe I'll watch the run again to make sure.

Indeed very nice to see a 2 player movie of this. There were a few spots where I wasn't really sure why you did what you did. At the start, you killed some enemies by hitting them twice with the normal attack. I also wasn't sure about the things you did, and didn't kill at the surfboard level. Nevertheless, the run was well done. I know it's very hard/frustrating to TAS a tmnt game with 2 players... I also started a 2 player tmnt2 movie a long time ago, but only finished the first 3 levels. It must also be hard to pick the right spots where to die, and how much to play with only 1 turtle. Combined with the turtles different strengths, it makes the run quite open for different strategies, which is good. Did you know that normal enemies are killed about 10 frames faster when killing them with the special attack of Leo or Don? The enemies don't leap as much in the air with these turtles, as they do with Raph or Mike. This might also be something important to consider. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this, although I do think there is a little room for improvement. Over 3 minutes shorter than the 1 player run is good, and a lot more interesting (also harder to make). I vote yes, and think this should obsolete the 1 player run.

I killed some enemies by hitting them twice with the normal attack, then I can get 600 score without wasteing time.I will only get 400 score if I ues "down+B",and I will only get 200 score if I use "A+B".We know higher score is,more life I have. I think using"down+B" can kill normal enemies more faster than using"A+B".The importence is we should only kill the last enemy faster.

This is true for Raph and Mike... but not for Leo and Don. For Leo and Don A+B is faster than down+B

True, but if there are more than 3 enemies, the first few enemies must be killed as fast as possible too, so that the last enemy appears as soon as possible.

The movie was certainly interesting in the way that the two main characters characters unexpectably work with each other and it very well played as well. So I vote yes on this one. Personally IMO the game from a TASing perspective suffers becuase most of the enemies have too little health and often they get killed before they can even propely step on the screen.

Voted yes, I really enjoyed this movie. During the surf level there was a few points where there is hella lag... also, I wish you would have used donatello for one life ;3

Pretty well planned run. No matter how many Footsoldiers were destroyed, it never felt boring. The waiting periods were alright, some needed imagination but the rest were good. Good run, yes vote.

TMNT3 is so boring to me. But this movie is much less boring than the published 1 player movie. It is also well executed. I vote yes that this obsolete the 1 player movie.

I hope you didn't voted yes in the poll... because it doesn't look like that you like watching that movie.

Ah, here's the 2P run I wanted to see. Pity there's no Don though. Also, my ears hurt. Still very good watchin'. EDIT: Also if anyone's daring enough to go and improve this, a couple of the waiting sequences in which the players are both spamming special attacks to lower their health would be greatly improved in hilarity with them facing each other, and mashing attack at each other.

Well... he said he voted yes, and I don't really see why he shouldn't. As said in the topic which questions the poll question, people don't really directly answer the question of the poll... and for a good reason. Why would someone vote no on a movie which he likes more than the currently published movie?

Looks good, I'm voting Yes, although I miss cool input dances (like in currently published movie), as well as Donatello. Also, I'm pretty sure, with further optimizations this game can be beaten in less then 30 minutes. Just reducing obvious lag can save more than 5 seconds.

I really liked the strategic use of death in this one, and I liked how fast the boss fights went. Voting yes. I don't know whether it should obsolete the published 1P run or not, but I did enjoy this one more. EDIT: I have major support for Rising Tempest's suggestion, too.

I'm glad to be obsoleted. :) I haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure it's great. Will download it tomorrow after dialysis.

HD encode (with good sound) Playlist Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Single Segment movie.

I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
