no either it's easier to tap A for one frame than you think or there's something more to it hell, the original "asshole mario 2" video was done without savestates

Yeah I find that weird and surprising. Still though it's good to hear it's actually doable. Maybe it's easier/possible when not playing with a keyboard or something.

Go to http://www.letsplayarchive.com and watch the Kaizo Mario World LP. It's hilarious.

I just redid the level, and I was able to get past the chargin' chuck in realtime by spin jumping on his "edge" and then riding him until he dies. I did it a couple of times to make sure it wasn't some insane fluke.

I stand corrected. Good to know.

At 1:28 I love the way you throw one P to pick it up later and stomp on the other, rather than just picking up the former straight away. Also, nice showboating with the fish-jumping. Didn't watch beyond the first level as I think I'd like to give this a try myself first, but I'm looking forward to watching this afterwards.

Oh no!!! Just to play it and try to complete it. From what I hear, completing it alone's something to be proud of - certainly would be for me. I started the first Kaizo last night and was flabbergasted! I've not delved into the whole frame-incrementing aspects of emulators.

hmm... it's a dirty job, but someone must make it. Is the game too long, mushroom? How many stages are there? Also, which is better 1 or 2? I didn't finish neither of them. I got so irritated I was about to set my house ablaze...

Well, I wasn't going to ask, but I've been looking for half an hour now, and I can't find a rom of Kaizo 2. There was a link to it on some youtube or niconico page but it was dead. So, where can we get the patch?

Here you go, apply this to Kaizo Mario World 1 (makes a smaller patch than Super Mario World)

Mister's Kaizo Mario World 2 TAS' expected movie's ROM is crc32=18097410. I've tried 5 different "Kaizo Mario World 2" ips (including the one uploaded by P.Jboy) patches and none of them matches 18097410. (and of course, they all desynch.) Can someone please provide the correct patch ?

I've never played Kaizo Mario 2 myself but I did watch some guy play the entire thing one level at a time with no savestates on niconico once. Very entertaining. I'd link but I can't find the mylist that has them all. As for the tas: Very cool. I've never seen that glitch he did in Stage 3 with the midair jumping, nor the pipe-enter glitch in Stage 5. However I must have the wong kmario1 rom because the CRC of the kmario2 rom patched from it is not what the smv indicates and it desyncs during the yellow switch palace.

I have a rom that matches the CRC (33912C73) of the updated Kaizo Mario World 2 TAS, however, it desyncs during the yellow switch palace as well. So, it looks like there are at least two copies of the ROM with different content but the same CRC. (or maybe it was the result of doing hex edit cut & paste with the input?) Anyway, out of the 5 patches I have for Kaizo Mario World 2, only one patch (CRC32 = 4560ED03) that played pasted the yellow switch palace. However, it desyncs in the middle of the level that follows. Can someone please provide a patch that doesn't desync ? UPDATE: I found a patch that plays until the end of the game. Here's the ips file: http://rapidshare.com/files/90333327/kaizo_mario2d_ips.rar.html Apply it to the US version of the SMW ROM. After applying the patch, the in-game (the one shown in SNES9x) CRC32 = A75B9D22. I think the Bowser fight is awesome in this hack -- at least it's different than all the SMW hacks I've seen. The last boss is nice too. I wonder how many people can beat the last boss without savestate or tool-assisted. I would like to thank gocha for posting the SMV files and thank the people who did the TAS for these two hacks!

Hey gocha... what's that? The Kaizo 2 rom was named "Super Peachy World" or something... but both of your movie files ask for a "SUPER MARIOWORLD" rom.

p_s: the second smv works for what minglw provided which is the second game so... Anyway, here's the list with the realtime playthroughs: http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/2882981 I thought at least someone might want to watch these, sicne I found it again. They might not be as fun since you saw them sped through in the TAS but since I saw the levels for the first time here, it was fun trying to figure out how to get past the puzzles as I watched this poor guy die over and over. the video credits once he beats the final boss are also pretty good. So, not a TAS but still entertaining. Plus you can see the puzzles the TAS managed to skip by exploiting glitches available when you're big in passages that are only as high as small mario. On the list, you'll want to see: Parts 1 through 10 and Final. Enjoy., Kaizo 2 is titled "自作の改造マリオを友人にプレイさせる 第二作" (self-made remodelled mario played by a friend, episode two)

Hi, all! I've improved the TAS for Kaizo Mario World 2. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/429190316/ymario2-tas-improvement.smv Here is an improvement of about 59 seconds to the previous movie. Many ideas used in the new run are due to 荒島博久 (ism), and a part of the fourth level is played by him. The Bowser fight is WaddleDX's performance. Some of the input animations are taken from http://tasvideos.org/1850S.html and the others are self-made. Thanks to the authors. In this movie, there can be found a new trick which, roughly speaking, allows us to reach the top speed (slightly) earlier. Anyway, enjoy it :)
Retired because of that deletion event. Projects (WIP RIP): VIP3 all-exits "almost capeless yoshiless", VIP2 all-exits, TSRP2 "normal run"

Great improvement! I didn't see any missed corner boosts, and there's a bunch of keystrokes-in-tune-with-the-music during downtime (with input display), and clever use of camera scrolling to get desired object positions (especially the fire pounding guys). I'm not sure why you seemed to waste some time in the room right before the final boss, but still... If this was submitted, even though it's for a hack, I'd vote yes.

That TAS was amazing! I loved all of the tricks done during the downtime. All of the walljumps were awesome. Do you know if that rope trick to grab on to the background can be done in SMW or just in hacks? I tried it in CBA last year when DK64MASTER did it in second reality project and I couldn't get it. Either way it doesn't matter because it's not possible small. There aren't any blocks in CBA that the ropes go into and small mario can't get hit. Good job.
