The Citadel in Mass Effect is a lot of fun to roam around, and the battle there at the end of the game is ridiculously epic.

One of them I'm definetally gonna say is the first level in Bioshock. When you first see Rapture and the people start going after you. *shudder*

St. Francis Folly in Tomb Raider 1, possibly; just great music.

Sky Sanctuary in Sonic & Knuckles The music makes it feel like a great accomplishment that you got to the stage and puts you (me) in a mood to lean back and enjoy.

I'm surprised you enjoyed that level. It gave me no end of trouble in Time Attack mode.

The demo level of Farcry (I think that was the second in retail?). It was just so damn impressive at the time. Similar memories about the first level in Unreal. Strange how easy I'm too impressed by new techs in PC FPSs although I don't really like the gameplay of most ^^

In the rare free time when I get to design 2D levels, pacing and flow have always been an issue for me, both in-level and how each level flows into the next. Can any of you recommend a 2D platformer level with good pacing and specifically state WHY it's good in that regard?
