Some guy is selling his entire video game collection that he accumulated over 30 years on eBay. The consoles (sometimes more than one of each) are: Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, Coleco ColecoVision, Coleco Gemini, Coleco Telstar, Commodore 64/128, GCE Vectrex, Mattel Aquarius, Mattel Intellivision, Mattel Odyssey 2, Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Xbox 360, Miscellaneous APF TV Fun, Miscellaneous Handheld Games, Miscellaneous PC Games, Miscellaneous SC Eight Thousand, Miscellaneous Sega Pods, Miscellaneous TV Games, NEC Turbo Duo, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo NES, Nintendo Nintendo 64, Nintendo Super NES, Nintendo Virtual Boy, Nintendo Wii, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Game Gear, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Sega Saturn, SNK Neo Geo, SNK Neo Geo Pocket, Sony Playstation, Sony Playstation 2, Texas Instruments TI 99/4A, and VM Labs Nuon. With lots of games and accessories for most. He estimates the whole collection to be worth $14,639.00. Here's his site with the full list of stuff and more pix: http://videogames.neocurve.com/list.aspx

Just shy of 15 grand doesn't seem like that much when you consider how much crap it looks like he has.

if you look at the values he listed that's not the amount of money he paid for it, but the amount of current worth he estimates.

In the opening parts he mentions he has Nights but that there is also an extremely rare Christmas edition, although I find that bit hard to beleve since I got it when I first purchased the Saturn, and as a freebie with one of the magazines. I even snapped the first one I had because it was so badly scratched. Plus it was only intended to be a demo version, but mighty fine for a demo given all the cool additional stuff you could get if you pegged through it hard enough.

I dunno, maybe it was like (bare with me here, I haven't known anything about this for years) a Pokemon card that only came with a certain set (I think I remember some big holographic blue one coming only with the beginner training set). I seem to recall some special cards only coming in Nintendo Power magazine, therefore being classified as "rare". Or maybe he's just seriously padding it.

Why does he have a case for the Gamecube Tetris Worlds pictured if it's not listed on that site? >_> EDIT: And I love how the Light-Up Target Gift Card (No Value) has a value of $5 according to the table.
<Zurreco> if so called professional players cant adapt to every playing field, theyre obviously not that great

Seen as an entire collection, I think 15K is gravely underestimated.

I agree, $15k seems low for something like that. But selling something as a collection rather than selling the expensive / rare stuff and dumping the rest will get you a reduction in value of about that. I don't think anyone wants to pay more for that (and I don't think anyone will pay more than $10k if he doesn't split it up).
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

The website needs a picture of the woman who is forcing him to sell it.

I think you've hit the nail right on the head.

Re: Christmas NiGHTS rarity If I remember correctly, it was only available as a bonus CD in issues of certain Imagine publications, and maybe some other unconventional method of some sort. I was SUPPOSED to get the CD with my subscription to UGP, but when the game was conspicuously absent, I was able to pick it up used at Blockbuster. The game isn't exactly in wide circulation, though it doesn't have anything on Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Kirby said so, so it must be true. ( >'.')>

Very interesting. I would have guessed a lesser value based upon its size compared to my anime collection, but I guess that completely ignores the higher concentration of value there? But... what torture. What unbelievable torture. I think I'd rather get over my fear of needles than give up my anime collection.

Good to see that somebody else besides me and my ex-gf owns a copy of Rhapsody - A Musical Adventure.
