As of right now, there are two decent classic Mac OS multi-platform AND open-source emus(Sheep Shaver and Basillisk II) and I'm wondering if there could be at least some effort to implement a rerecording function on them. Also, Apple II would be nice. Note that Apple II is different from the Mac.

Oregon trail is for Apple II, not for the specific Macintosh line. But you have a good idea there.

well, there was an edition of Oregon Trail for Mac OS. I see Apple II rerecording being much more feasible than Mac OS, as it behaves more like a console.

Hmm... You could be right. But shouldn't Mac OS be similar to DOS (and possibly easier) to TAS with?

Well, with Basilisk/SheepShaver you have to have the right rom, you have to have a virtual hard disk and you have to have the actual game and everything involved with the game to be in a certain state for a movie to sync, whereas with an Apple II emulator it's theoretically just a matter of loading the game's disk image and a movie file.
