Anyone are interested to see a KI Gold TAS ? I got a awesome emulation for this game with Project64 1.7 (Maybe in Mupen with the same Plugin)... So, I'm thinking if anyone has some knowledge in this game to start a run or help the one who start this... If somebody has ideas or planning to start this run, we can talk about this game here... :) KI Gold emulation:

I suppose if you wanted to demonstrate ludicrous combos and fatalities/humiliations, it might be worth a look. Unfortunately, I fear that a tool-assisted run under normal play would still look less impressive than what you can do on the console after unlocking all of the secret options menus, 'cheating' or no.

Dark Fulgore, knowing as you're experienced with making TASes of arcade games, I would actually suggest waiting a bit until rerecording Final Burn Alpha is accepted here (work is being done on it) and do a run on an arcade version which you know is much much better.

But, Final Burn only emulates CPS1/2 and NeoGeo games... KI is from Ultra64 Motherboard... :(

Heh, didn't know it couldn't emulate U64 hardware… I know it can emulate more than just CPS1/2 & NG, though. Like early Cave and Toaplan hardware, for instance.

I'd love to see a TAS of this game. I remember there being a ludicrous speed setting, which needs to be unlocked. Maybe it's possible to enable this setting with a cheat or something?

I think there was a button cheat for unlocking all the options menus, but I may just be thinking of the way the demo pattern changed depending on which menu item you highlighted. Or maybe it was a Gameshark code... >.> Edit: Bonus Options At the character biographies, press the following to open up the Level 1 through 5 options: Z, B, A, L, A, Z

Maybe this Cheat can Unlock "Master Difficulty"... I will test this Cheat now... EDIT: Yes, this Cheat enable "Master Difficulty" and "Ludicrous" game speed... Very nice... EDIT2: Damn ! Sabrewulf kicked my ass in Master Difficulty and Ludicrous speed... xD The first character is very hard, the last ones will be pratically impossible... A TAS of this game will be AMAZING...

I support this TAS. I'd love to see some ridiculously long combos and stuff.

Master difficulty on Ludicrous speed, all Supreme Victories would be desirable. I'd definitely watch it, if nothing else.

The 80 Hits combo in this KI are better than KI 1... But you need the to use all the Special Bar, I think... During the fight will be possible to execute impressive long combos ?

I've never played this game, but if you master this game as well as you mastered SNES Killer Instinct, I will definitely support it. However, you should make a playaround, rather than a fastest time speedrun, like you did for Killer Instinct. Good mix of speed and showing off should be nice!

Wow! Good emulation! *waiting for the day that will work in the same way on Mupen64*

Not necessarily. 80 Hits Ultra also can be done with the Broken Ultra's glitch in the same way on KI1 (or using Jago's Spirit Move)... and in this version has the Ultra Breaker's movement.

Yes. You can do 'normal' combos of up 30+ hits (with the Combo Ender Factory [+5] and Super Moves) and Mini-Ultras (done at the end of the first opponent's life bar). This game kick ass! (but I still prefer the Arcade Version) =P

2P Fights in this game will be nice to show some combos or insane glitches? Like VANDAL did in his MKII run...

Yeah, this game works fine in Mupen. Did for me, at least, using Jabo's D3D8 v1.6.

Ah, you've got me there. I can only play it far enough to get my ass kicked by the first opponent.

Hmm, in that case, the next Glide64 release will fix this game's graphics issues....same with loads other game's GFX problems....

Actually, I meant that I had only tested so far as getting my ass kicked. Checking again just to be sure, it does emulate correctly between battles, so it should be fine to TAS.

IMO, it's necessary to show highest combos (as the 80 Hits Ultra)... and some glitches only works on VS Mode.

To me, using the same plugin, still has a bad emulation.
