Hello there! I got a problem. I want to see this movie: http://tasvideos.org/1672S.html But since it isn't accepted for this site it hasn't been converted into .avi or something, so it's still .m64. So the thing I'd like to know is; How do I play this file? I got M64 and all, but I don't know how to use it very good. Thanks in advance.

m64 is only input, no image to convert into avi. You'll have to get ROM loaded on mupen64 and play the m64 file to see it. PS you don't get ROM from here.

First you start the ROM. Then you click Utilities -> Movie -> Start movie playback, and you select your desired movie. Then wait. If the game starts acting weird, you probably don't have the same plugins selected as the runner. You can see these in the window where you select the movie.
My published movies [03:45:05] <Naohiro19> Soulrivers: ... [03:45:19] <Soulrivers> ? [03:46:35] <Naohiro19> <Soulrivers> No! <Naohiro19> So? <Soulrivers> Yes! [03:46:48] <Naohiro19> joke

Ok.. Well, when i select Utilities all i see is: ROM properties Audit ROMs Generate ROM info Show log window Record Then when i select "Record" these alternatives is showed; Start recording Stop recording Start playback Stop playback Start capture (REC2AVI) Stop capture I've tried to select "Start playback" and then selecting the file.. but it doesn't support .m64 files. Any clue what's my problem?

I'm not sure what version of mupen you have, but I would suggest you try the one here (mirror)

Thanks alot! I had the wrong version.. Now I have the movie playing and all. Even though I'm very confused with fast-forwarding in the movie etc. Well, I think this thread is finished.

Oh wait, it's not finished lol. Now I need help again, because the movie is acting very weird (not the video-settings, but Link doesn't do anything like he should in a speedrun, he's just jumping randomly around..) My suggestion is that I got the wrong input settings, because I got my own and he got "TAS Input Plugin 0.6". If that input-thing is the problem, how do I get TAS Input Plugin 0.6?

I thought TAS Input Plugin is included with modified Mupen64 package. You should be able to find download link somewhere if you use forum search.

It's not, for some reason. I remember that google had over 500 searches for the exact phrase
"TAS input plugin 0.6" download
<.< shouldn't it be included?

I was supposed to reply to this when the problem first arose. Obviously my attention was on a more pressing issue. Oh well. It is important to note that the above desync is likely not a problem with the input plugin. The problem is instead likely to be the video plugin (I know, that may be hard for you to believe but it is the truth). Please ensure you are using the same video plugin as that which the TAS was made with. This problem only occurs with newer/more complex games.
