I guess I probably shouldn't have used the word disgrace... 9 definitely had its points (best graphics and sound, not to mention the amazingly addicting Chocobo minigame). Also seconding ending the discussion on Final Fantasy (yes, after talking about it some more and making a post about it).

I was thinking about those as well. Kings Field I just beat for the 1st time a couple of years ago and the ending, despite how terrible it was, made me feel good knowing that the game CAN be beaten. The game is so fucking hard that I gave up on it about 10 times back in the day.

Great to see that PSX TASing is possible! I've been screwing around with this emulator quite a bit over the last few weeks and am very impressed and encouraged by it. Anyways, some ideas that I don't think have been said yet... Agent Armstrong Tarzan Driver Heart Of Darkness James Bond 007: Tomorrow Never Dies Kula World Lucky Luke Monkey Hero Silent Hill Wild 9

Oh yeah, I'd like to second Heart of Darkness. Brilliant game, and one of the last "die at least 20 times on every screen" games. What happened to this genre?

Star Ocean 2. Yes, it'll be a royal fight planning nightmare (at least on the level of Secret of Mana and, well, Star Ocean 1), and the camera likes to zoom around and refocus on the active character (so rapid switching as in the SO1 run will lead to massive dizziness and headaches), but if you can grapple with that all of that, fame of others notwithstanding it's easily one of the most attractive PSX RPGs to see ruined under TAS conditions.

Lol, I know. King's Field is horribly hard! xD I've started playing it like, twenty times, and never got passed the first area! x.x But none the less, the King's Field Series would make for entertaining TASes, just because of the difficulty factor.

Medievil 1 and 2 should be TAS'ed. I'd love to see an any% and a 100% TAS run of those games. Also, games such as Resident Evil and Dino Crisis also.

Any Tomb Raider games to TAS? Most of those Lara Croft games are hard as fuck to beat! And did we mention "Apocolypse" and "Brave Fencer Musashi"?!

Just dropping to by to emphasis the original poster's best suggestion: Armored Core Because of it's customizable natur you'll be sure to find numerous exploits in just the building part which would be both fun to plan and execute. The levels and control system probably has some serious bugs too since it's one of From Software's earliest.. but most of all it's fun to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEPsCDWKGpM and if no one pointed this out yet Tomba! is one hell of a PSX game. It's mission based platform style is quite fresh and the game is very pretty too! With 160 "missions" you can go either 100% or any%. The music is also great :3 TAS this and be my god forever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDUVbl7EsRg

I'm tossing ideas around my head for what I'll work on. Tombraider, Ape Escape, Diablo 1, Metal Gear VR, Breath of Fire 3, Spyro, MK Mythologies (could be boring though), Legacy of Kain, and I forget the rest probably shoulda wrote them down. Diablo seems like the cheapo way to get a TAS completed since the run would be like 5 minutes long. The game could have a frame war though like Donkey Kong did. Spyro is seeming pretty good.

Please work on Ape Escape or Spyro first, Blaise. Both games are cool and seeing you get 100% will make it much better. Sorry if I sound pushy.

Just need to get my ps2 controller to work on the emu and I'll make my decision. Right now only keyboard is working. I've been practicing using the emulator on Street Fighter Alpha 3 (V-ism Akuma) just to get the hang of it. I'm a newbie TASer so frame advance feels pretty weird but I'm getting it.

imo, spyro is the best of the PSX 3D platformers and it's avaliable for both a 100% and any%. I don't know that much about TASing in general but it seems fun. Tomba! still stands as the most interesting game to TAS imo but few people know about it so I doubt one of you players will pick it up :'(

I don't even know what Tomba's first level looks like... or what Tomba looks like (assuming thats the name of the main character). I'd check it out if I had the disk, I prefer to make my own disk images.

Then this is definitely a problem since the game as of late has become REALLY rare, especially if you're in PAL territory :/ Too bad then. I did however post a youtube video in my previous post that links to a Tomba non-TA speedrun Also, if you ever want to TAS one of the less-common PSX games I own (list below) I can supply a disc image in any format you want pretty much :) Since I can't really TAS my self I'm always glad to help in any other way.

I'd like to second that as a possibility- a game with "Anna Kournikova" in the title is intrinsically funny, and tennis games in general may have unexpected potential for a good playaround. Likewise for WWF/WCW wrestling games.

I was impressed by a WIP OgreSlayeR made of the N64 version last year, and am convinced that someone with a good sense of choreography would produce an interesting full run. Prioritizing style over speed would be key.

I also think that "Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis" could make a good playaround. And if you also want a good tennis-based speedrun, its sequel (Smash Court 3) might be good too, since it has a very difficult Mission mode (and you can play as Pac-Man from the start in it :P).
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

On the topic of fighting game runs, I'd like to see someone try Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Game's name is Street Fighter Collection) with Ken or Marvel vs Capcom with Ryu (transforming into Ken or Akuma some matches). Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo could be nice too since its like Tetris but 50x cuter. Edit: Took out offer to provide rom images.

True! A 100% TAS of AK Smash Court would be hilarious too with all the unlockables. It's a good game. And I don't know how clear I was but request an image ONLY if you want to TAS it. I buy my games so I rather not just help people pirate and play :) Stuff I didn't list includes pretty much every PAL RPG released for the PSX too, except Wild Arms for some strange reason.

You'd best not even bring it up. It's against the rules.
