About the Movie

Sonic 3 & Knuckles has had several celebrated runs done of it, but our poor little tag-along fox friend has gotten no love from them. I thought I should make a run that demonstrates the sonic communities true feelings for our two-tailed orange foxy companion.
The result is the fastest game over in recorded history.

In-game completion times:

Angel Island 1 life 3
0:04
Angel Island 1 life 2
0:04
Angel Island 1 life 1
0:03

Total Time: 0:11

Notes and Explanations

  • The game over screen pops up faster than it takes for the level to restart after a normal death.

Possible improvements

  • Hacking the ROM to place a set of spikes immediately underneath Tails' starting location.

Angel Island 1 life 3 0:04 Angel Island 1 life 2 0:04 Angel Island 1 life 1 0:03 Why are the first 2 deads takes so much longer? Vote No, because I see much improvement. When you die all the time at 0:03 I vote maybe yes, but so I must not watch the movie at all. Not good played I think. Sorry, bad choice for a goal at all.

Oh ok, now I understand it. But at all a bad choice for a goal. ;-)

This could've been more entertaining had tails died in several different ways, not just the same way 3 times. Sure, it would've taken longer, but it would certainly have been more entertaining. 4/8.5 from me.

I came here expecting a level select to CLEAR, then remembered that'd take only about 7 seconds.

I expected something more enlightening, like some kind of game-over glitch.

I expected to expect something, but I expect my expectation will never occur.

I expected an encode, but I guess that joke has run dry by now so I will stick with the question "why is the last death faster?" EDIT: so much for not reading

So, will this spark another wave of quick death runs?

I disapprove of this run for obvious reasons. 0/2 Do it with Knuckles next time.

Finally, a run that has a clear category and doesn't have any arbitrary goals. Unfortunately I cannot rate it because the numbers I feel it deserves do not exist on the scale.
