Very nice WIP. Can't wait to see more of it.

Done with Aguni. Overall things are going pretty well. Health management between Bat Company and The Pinnacle worked out about as well as I could have hoped for. dsm

As usual, it was a glorious WIP. I love how you simply ignored the spikes in the Clock Tower. You were much like the crazy nastyass honey badger that way.

One of my favorite games from one of my favorite TASers. Awesome job so far Cpadolf!!! Here is an encode from SnUfFlimz for DL in both 8 and 10-Bit. 8-Bit http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?0mj2al9a68w9ck6 10-Bit http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?xhz9uxiutt8qvox

Thanks for the encode, Forensics/Snufflimz! Great run so far, Cpadolf! Can't wait to see the final product.

No reason to thank me he encoded it. I just posted it because for some reason he was banned from the TAS Videos Forums a while ago.

Very nice! I'm left wondering if the Gergoth showboating cost frames though, since he's available to be dropkicked when you do that. Seconding the spike tunnels praise: silly game thinking you "need" bat form to get through there. Masochism and Save rooms will suffice.

According to the submission text, once Gergoth drops below 900HP, he can't be damaged again until his shackles finish coming off. So cpadolf starts the shackle-removal sequence, then uses the strongest single hit he can (pushing Gergoth below 900HP and thus into invincibility), and then the shackles finish coming off and the fight continues. It does look odd, I'll grant.

Okay, I've got a rather mundane question, but I haven't been able to find the answer anywhere. And I suppose it might be vaguely interesting for speedrun purposes. How much health do(es) Somacula('s forms) have?

It's 1100 and 5000 respectively. And the health is separated between the two forms, so you can't do any overkill damage on the first form to lower the health of the second form.

I wonder if the Soul Drop mechanic has been understood yet. An "All Souls" run would be interesting.

Hello! I've started planning for a 100% run for this, just trying to edge out my fundamentals. First of all, I don't get the new movement pattern at all. Are you supposed to do it as fast as possible or what, cause that turned out to be slower than the old one.

I have been waiting for this day. How do you plan on getting the NG+ souls since NG+ does not reset the soul collection? 2 completions of the game?

The Hellfire soul doesn't actually count towards the 100% soul collection, dunno if I should bother with that =/. Also, the movement pattern stuff solved itself... I was just doing it wrong, derp.

I think that collecting the Hellfire soul should be collected, but it's not my decision since I am not making the TAS.

Maybe the run could start from SRAM in order to do it on Hard Mode, so that you get Hellfire at the end?

The problem with this game is that the collected souls and items are transfered from the first play through, no way to start a clean Hard Mode without hacking the save-file. Which is probably questionable if it is to be allowed for this game.

Isn't there a way to basically drop all of your souls, items, and money prior to starting the Hard Mode run? It wouldn't require hacking, just special preparation.
