For the red coins, couldn't you get the BLJ to last for longer, like done in the 70 and 120 star TASes?
Yes i could, but in this run i am aiming more, for entertainment rather than speed. I'm not trying to get the fastest time possible.

Hey everyone, I have a idea for a super donkey kong 64 20 star tas. When you collect 20 stars you can buy the blj technique maybe we find a way for using the blj get to the warp behind the 50 star door. my idea was the canon but i think the canon appears later. (30 stars?)
I'm new and I'm german. My english isn't the best sry ^^

A BLJ to get behind the 50 star door has already been found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnqSLXTxtMU

We can get more than 38 stars on Missing Stars. You know how? By cloning coins.

In Star Road, I wonder if we can glitch to the top of the tower at the beginning of the game?

What would you guys argue the ruling for PUs in Rom Hacks? The hacks themselves don't necessarily run off of console, so should we even bother doing the procedures to prevent PU console crash in a rom hack run?

Using PUs in ROM hacks is kind of dumb, just like using BLJs. They just break everything and you never get the chance to do the one thing a ROM hack TAS should do: Show off the ROM hack.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Well for this particular instance, it would only be for the entrance of 1 stage of the entire 130 star tas. My question is rather the validity. Hacks don't really run on consoles, so do i bother doing the procedures that ensure a PU route doesn't crash console?

I don't even know about any ROM hack of SM64 that runs on console. If there is a way to make those hacks in a way that is compatible with console, the creators do not seem to know or care about it.

Come on. Admit it. You were all thinking about it at one point. One of us had to bring up the idea. I think this would be not only very interesting to see and watch considering that SM64 Chaos Edition uses a crack-addicted RNG (I think anyway) to randomly make things fly at Mario, but hilariously amusing at all the possible ways hilarity would ensue as Mario frantically TASes his way out of random BobOmbs/Podoboos/Goombas/rotating bridges/entire levels flying at him. Someone throw me a bone on this! One of us HAS to do this!

I wonder how many times the game could simply be manipulated to let a star fly at Mario.

Super Mario 64: Ocarina of Time / Super Zelda 64 / Ocarina of Time 64 is a hack which is a spoof of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is Kaze Emanuar's newest hack (he also made Last Impact and the aforementioned The Green Stars) The GLide64 plugin doesn't work with the hack. Glide64mk2 does load, but the yellow ! platforms don't spawn properly and the red and blue switches are invisible. Use the Rice plugin as it's the best option for this hack despite the title logo is rendered wrong. The speedrun categories include "3 stars BLJ" "13 stars glitched warpless" and "171 stars no BLJ". When will we get a hack that you can get 182 stars by having the castle, secret stages, switch stages, and Bowser stages yield 100-coin stars, and 4 gift stars from Toad and 3 from MIPS. Only time will tell.

Guys, it's been almost 10 years since Super Mario 64: The Missing Stars came out. I am wondering, why isn't there a TAS for it's 10th anniversary? Also, why isn't there a remake? We need a TAS, ASAP!
