Enjoy this run!

mmbossman: Rejecting this run in favor of this run, as they are the virtually the same game, and this one is slower.

mmbossman: Oops, my bad, I didn't realize this game already had a published movie. And this run is definitely faster. Accepting as an improvement.

Raiscan: Sucking up this run, absorbing its abilities and processing.

You did a fairly good job of keeping us guessing about how the combos would work out until you placed the last piece that snapped everything together. I think it's a bit of a shame that TASes aiming for fastest time can't pull off the really long, convoluted combos though. Still, this was reasonably entertaining.

I liked this. I'm voting yes. One thing that really bugs me though is you not beating King Dedede the fastest time possible. It would look a lot better for the viewers. Just a thought.

One more Yes for this great run.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.

weak yes vote the game is well payed BUT it's a exact copy of the puyo² II submision (so exact that i wonder if it's possible to make a single movie that could complete both games ?) also, if both games gets accepted, should we publish all the puyo's spin off ?

It was fun watching and trying to guess what kind of combo you would have to clear it at the end.

Not trying to ruin the party or anything, but I would've much rather preferred to see longer combos rather than ONLY single large combos, even if you get more blocks that way. Still a good, fast run though.

Is it just me or does this violate the "end the movie when there exists no input that can end the game any faster" rule? Either way, I'm voting yes, but maybe that last part should be redone (it's the end of the movie so it could be easily changed)...

What he does is end the movie at the earliest possible input, paying no mind to how fast he beats the last boss. That's not beating the game as fast as possible in my opinion.

There's no hard-and-fast rule as to when to end input. The most liberal is "end the input when not adding any more input is sufficient to end the game". This can sometimes be long before the game actually ends (c.f. Gradius, where the TASer grabs a shield specifically so he can just sit there like a lump through the last few enemies and then watch the boss self-destruct).

Anyone more familiar with these games care to comment on this?

This game is the same as "Super Puyo Puyo", but is different from "Super Puyo Puyo 2". I think that those rules have differences more than "SMB1" and "SMB2".

I was happy when you cleared the screen on stage 11 and I liked the 'taunting' way that you almost killed yourself against Dedede. The whole thing seemed to have too many 2-stage combos to be particularly entertaining to me, though. edit: I deleted a previous comment because I was mistaken.
