Dungeon 3 done. VBM: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1779020073/SL%20OoA%20D3.vbm One again, a huge thanks to Tompa for checking my progress regularly in this dungeon, and helping me save frames at several parts. He also managed to manipulate more ember seeds in the boss battle (I was only able to get one seed), which will save quite a bit of time later on. :) Also, S@G, are you still able to encode these WIPs? If so, could you try and make the encode for this less than 100MB so I can put it on YouTube? <_< I already have one on there, but the quality is terrible. If you can't, don't worry about it.

sorry for the late answer, but my live has been a little bit, how to tell that in english... crappy, bullshit. don't know. but now everything is fine again :) I meneged to encode it for you. Dungeon 3 i think the quality is ok for a 18 MB File ;)

Are either of these runs still being worked on? I'm looking for something else to work on at my incredibly slow pace now that I've submitted my FE8 run. If one is still being worked on, I'll try my hand at the other, and if both are being worked on, I won't bother reading through the topic for tricks.

I'm still doing Oracle of Ages. Tompa/Soulrivers were doing Oracle of Seasons, but they've given it up, I think...

I haven't REALLY given up on the run, I'm just taking a long break ;). The reason why I have it on hold is because of the manipulation in the beginning of D2. There are millions of different combinations to try out, my best when I gave up was 30 frames slower than Dez, which I refuse to keep. But if you really would like to TAS it instead, have fun :). The manipulation is ass.

In that case, I'll go ahead and let you do it. It had just been an idea I had been kicking around, not a huge priority.

After reading that ridiculously long thread about it, I've decided to do it! I have a great handle on the game, so I'll post up the WIPs as I progress through the game. I'm starting tonight, so it should be fun.

If you read the ridiculously long thread, why didn't you post your announcement there? We tend to discourage starting multiple threads for the same game, since it makes finding information about the game harder, and generally adds clutter to the website.

No problem, now you know. I'll try to remember to have Angerfist or some other mod merge this to that thread. Also, good luck on your run.

This is why I hate message boards that discourage "bumping". Making an old topic new again doesn't hurt anyone.

I like message boards that discourage bumping, as in "*BUMP!*", but encourage bumping with useful information.

So is Oracle of Seasons up for a TAS since the currently existing Oracle of Seasons run has been delayed?

Sir Tompalot has said if you're up to the challenge of a manipulation tough game, you're free to. Also, he is quite up to his eyeballs in other runs, and hasn't been giving this much priority anyways.

I think I'm long overdue for an update with this run, so here it is. Fourth dungeon done: http://65.93.101.29/microstorage.php/info/1459389776/new-new-OoA(2)(4)(1)(3)(1)(1)(3)(1)(2)(1)(1)(2)(1)(1)(1).vbm (Awesome filename, don't you think? ;-D) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=F2yFmkEndmQ

From clicking the broken link: "File name is missing an extensions or extension is invalid. Please beat the creator of this link upside the head."

You'll have to manually copy the rest, since the link length got cut short. Or use my tinyurl link, since phpBB doesn't like parenthesis in URLs. Link saves the day?

I'm not sure if this is known, but the actual name in the Microstorage URL can be anything you want as long as it has the right extension: http://65.93.101.29/microstorage.php/info/1459389776/randomname.vbm Good to know when dealing with broken URLs ;)
