With the newest version of FCEUX released, How about TASing ALL 52 games, including a 2-player only game.

It's a homebrew, right?

You could've googled? It is not a homebrew. Re: the game, I haven't played it. I'm not interested in playing it. I don't know how a 52 game run would go - especially since many are broken and / or unbeatable - but again having not played it, I'd be interested in watching a run.
true on twitch - lsnes windows builds 20230425 - the date this site is buried

Yeah, I've seen SpaceNinja's videos of Action 52. There are games that go back to Level 1 after beating 'em. Some games won't run on bad dumps. Good dumps: Action 52 (Active Enterprises) [!].nes Action 52 (Active Enterprises) (REVA) [!].nes

I'd much rather see the Genesis version of Action 52 get TAS'd as it had some sort of resemblance to quality. (Not very much at all though) Although a TAS incorporating every single game could still have it's merits, if a little...hard to sit through at times.
This is only a little obsessive.

Most of the games on the Gen version are just 1-screen shooters.

I have been recently working on a "Dambusters" TAS. "Dambusters" is one of the horrible games included on the cartridge "Action 52". This game only includes two levels, then it automatically reverts back to the first level, so I will be completing those two levels. Here is a link to the first level TAS. This is as optimized as I could get :/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXeaq8jlQiA (Sorry, I am new here, and I couldn't get the video thing to work properly :/ )

Looks good so far. I'm finding it a little boring, though a lot of people might disagree with me, so don't let me stop you from submitting it when you've finished. By the way, your encode looked fine. What about it didn't "work properly"?

It was looking funky when I watched it after I encoded it, this was before it was on Youtube so it shouldn't have been processing. It used to have really buggy textures. My biggest concern is it will be too boring, but hopefully it won't. I could trade speed for entertainment, but that wouldn't be much of a speedrun. :/ I am half way through the second level, with varying degrees of success. It got desynced so I had to go back too the beginning of the level, and ruin some of the best luck I had, so now I am back at square one again :P

Bumping this decade-old thread with my contributions to this game: Link to video Link to video (These link to a playlist where I will be uploading all my Action 52 stuff). You can shit out an Action 52 TAS in like an hour ;D I haven't even bothered with RAM watch. Also, the games run at 30fps, which really is a drag. Right now I also have Micro Mike and Meong in the works. Meong is gonna be really stupid. Oh, also: someone was working on Dambusters as of 6 years ago, but the YouTube video seems to have been taken down.

Here is one mine. I don't know why, but it was difficult to playback the TAS. It seems to be the only ROM that is not stable on FCEUX. Also I TASed Vampire (where you kill vampires in a dark room), but it desyncs. Link to video
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Desyncs? On the NES? In 2018? No way! Who knows what arcane and terrible tricks they used to make that game work. I might have to try Vampire myself.
