Shame. Would like to TAS that Game but SMS seems to have a 1 frame delay for input in frame advance. o.o
I haven't ever experienced this, maybe try a different version?

Current: Rayman 3 maybe? idk xD Paused: N64 Rayman 2 (with Funnyhair) GBA SMA 4 : E Reader (With TehSeven) TASVideos is like a quicksand, you get in, but you cannot quit the sand

uhm… you sure you aren’t trying to input on lag frames?

ALAKTORN might have figured it out; the game runs at 30 frames per second, so every second frame is a lag frame. If that is what's happening, you have nothing to worry about; it'll just be a little different from TASing the 60 fps games you're used to.

No, even in gameplay it does that :p oh: If this is that is there an option to skip lag frames?

I don't know what you guys are really arguing over here. The game has 2 or 3 frames delay before a button press "does something". So if you press A it will take X amount of time before mario starts jumping as where in some other game it might take Y amount of time. As long as that amount of time is constant (which it is) then you don't have any problem here. If you want to dive first frame and when you press B on what looks like first frame, and you realize mario dove late. Then guess what, you can press the button sooner.

I already knew that. The thing is even the button displays in input even in Dolphin 2 frames late

That was amazing! One of the comments on that video said that there's a new trick which allowed the run to be so fast. If that's true, could you describe this trick a little so we're aware of what it is?

Has there been any improvement with Dolphins atrocious loads in this game? I'd be interested in TASing any% if there were some build where the loads aren't more than twice as long as on console.

Does this game even have tricks that rely on loading times like Metroid Prime? If not, can you ignore the loading times and count only the actual game segments while TASing?

100% accuracy isn't important in this game because it's just loading screens. but when loads take over 2 times as long, it's just not appealing to watch at all. I know, comparing TASes to non-TAS runs is something you people are against, but really, it's possible that the TAS time could be longer than the non-TAS time <_<

I didn't notice any abnormally long loading times, but since my computer runs it slowly, mind trying it too and confirm?

mugg is right, in Dolphin 4.0.2 loading time between loading save and start (example) is 4second in 4.0.2 and 7 seconds and some frames in 3.5 did a video comparison Link to video

Hi guys, so I had this really dumb Gelato Skip idea and I'm definitely grasping at straws with this one, but oh well at this point we need to consider everything so here goes: I want to bonk into a flying coconut while FLUDD is activated (= has recently been used because I think it extends his length just a tad? I dunno for sure) and while standing as close to the glass as possible. The idea is that maybe FLUDD will just barely reach into the glass to touch the Shine or something.... Problem is, I really don't know how to make this work properly so maybe someone can try this out or any other ideas?

Speaking of Gelato skip, what about this trick, at 4:56 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85Tb3WcfgPo It's super easy to pull off, although it's a bit hard to navigate underwater. Basically, on the plaza where the race with Piantissimo ends, you can use the Rocket Nozzle to jump off into a cliff which has no solidity, and then end up under the ocean floor. Could it be possible to then use the Rocket Nozzle to propel yourself into the Shine? I tried a bit, but I couldn't get anywhere near the Shine, given how hard it is to navigate underwater. Let me guess, there are some problems that make this impossible. If I had to guess what the main problem is, I'd say that it's because the Rocket Nozzle is only unlocked after that Shine, or it's only unlocked too late to be relevant. Am I right?
