When you backflip, you slide for 8 frames at backflip speed, i.e. faster than almost any other mode of transportation. A backflip w/whip cancel erases those 8 frames, and adds 1 more frame where you can't move because Richter has to bring his whip back in before you can do anything. This makes it 1 frame faster than a normal jump. Given the circumstances, it was faster to just jump the majority of the distance, because although it is one frame slower, it gets you a farther distance, meaning less walking. If I were to have backflipped w/whip cancel, I would be one frame ahead, but have more distance to walk. Hopefully that garbled explanation makes sense.

Ah. Ok. Well, everything else looks good. I didn't even know there was a use for the key, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you need it for.

It is used to open the doors for the two maidens. Dan is getting the best ending because, well, he's cool like that.

Not really, because I have two A.P. tests coming up in less than two weeks, so I'm hitting the books instead. After that, I'll definitely blow off some steam playing Dracula X.

Yepp on stage 3,, after a while u come to a place with lots of pillars to stand on and if u fall down u will get to stage 4,, the hint is,, if dont wanna jump down directly to stage 4 go on forward, and when u get to wall of flame throwing what should i say monsters* just turn ure back on them, and push the jump button twice and quick to perform "the uhm,, Evade backwards jump" or the backward jump and u will slip trough the wall of "monsters" with a little damage but i guess this will speed the movie up a phew seconds... hope it was to a little help. and understansable

This information is pretty obvious. Also, it's already being employed in the current WIP.

Fine, Cordax is in the right place. You, however, are not. Get out, Bag, OR ELSE!!!

After next week. As I said before, I have two A.P. tests next week (U.S. History and Calculus AB) so I'm concentrating on those instead.

I take it you haven't picked up the run yet? Or are you still busy with school?

No, I'm still being lazy :P Actually I got a job, and that along with school and habitual laziness eat away my free time. Maybe once school's out...

So is there anybody who's still thinking of running this game? Come on! :) It might not be as good as SCV4, but it's still a nice game.

Hm, I just started and spent about 3000 rerecords finishing the 1st and 2nd levels. Before reading the stuff in this topic. Dumb, but I was just bored :P Anyway, I'd love to continue but I don't know much about this game and I'd be too afraid not to play as well as Dan on every frame.

just go for it. if no one else is gonna do it, you might as well, even if it would be a little imperfect here and there, so long as its nothing major. Dan hasnt given any forum updates in a while, so id say its fair game. just remember to use his as a guide to navigate. if anything, do a few roughs to get a feel for the game and enemy AI. id like o see this game completed as well, but SNES games are at the bottom of my list because ive always had bad luck with them. best of luck if you do attempt it further though.
