Yeah, I wish I didn't have the ability to understand jokes, either. It would make the world much more simple to live in.

From the context given above, it seems that ais523 did understand that it was a joke. That doesn't stop it from being tired old patently unfunny joke which potentially alienates outsiders and we should stop doing, though.

I wonder about the context.

<Nach> Spikestuff: How much would you pay to win an award? <Nach> Nearly every category is open for rigging <Spikestuff> 420 player points <Nach> I can't spend player points at Amazon, no deal <Scepheo> Nach: What are the accepted payment options? <Nach> Scepheo: Any form of currency which is valued at at least 1 USD. You can pay by check, credit card, western union, paypal <Nach> Scepheo: which award would you like to win? <Scepheo> Oh, I was talking bets. <Nach> That's good too <Nach> What would you like to bet on? <Scepheo> I'm not winning anything, I need to maintain a low profile. <Nach> Well, you can pay on behalf of having someone else win too <Mothrayas> is the dollar currency of Monopoly allowed for bets? <Nach> Mothrayas: No <Nach> Nor is Gordy play money <Mothrayas> dammit, then I may have to rob actual banks or something <Mothrayas> toy stores would be so much easier :P <Nach> And to sweeten the deal, every bet over $50, whether you win or lose, I'll throw in a free cheap Russian replacement feos for you * Mothrayas note to self: $49,99 bets MAX <Scepheo> I'm not sure "sweeten" is the word I'd use. <Scepheo> "Yeah, hi, I'd like to place two $49.99 bets." "You mean $100?" "No, no, not at all."
