I wanted to comment about the latest release of FCEUX 2.1.4a.
So far, I have tested it under several different versions of Windows and here's my take on it.
The "FCEUX 2.1.4a win32 Binary" download will only run under Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 while the so called "FCEUX 2.1.4a win32 Binary - Windows 2000/98" download will run
only under Windows 2000.
Attempting to run the "FCEUX 2.1.4a win32 Binary - Windows 2000/98" package under Windows 98 or Windows ME results in nothing happening at all.
No FCEUX 2.1.4a window appears when attempting to run it on a Win98/ME system.
The last version of FCEUX to work on an actual Win98 or WinME system is version
2.0.3. Versions 2.1.0 and higher don't seem to be compatible with Win98/ME OSes anymore.
Will the creator of FCEUX attempt to make the latest version of FCEUX compatible with Win98/ME OSes? Or just give up Win9x support and require the newest versions of FCEUX to require a minimum of Windows 2000?
