Brain Age is a puzzle game to exercise your brain a little each day. It is inspired by the research of professor Ryuta Kawashima. You will play a variety of puzzles to train your brain. Although there has been controversy over the scientific effectiveness of the game in keeping your brain active, the game got very popular.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: desmume-0.9.6
  • Abuses programming errors
  • Manipulates luck
  • Uses game restart sequence
Note: The replay is not quite deterministic. If the replay runs desync,
1, Save at frame 117 during playing the movie.
2, Load the savestate slot.
3, Play the movie from beggining again and it will run well.

About the run

This run shows you how you can abuse the number recognition program by secretly drawing the number answer in each picture. You can see random characters on Brain Age Check mode, and video game stuff on calculations X 100 mode. The latter mode, the run ignores the game time and failed to launch a rocket. This is because the run aims to be as entertaining as possible.

Special thanks

  • ISM, Kuromitsu, Magi, 890, 0xwas, and WaddleDX, for their runs.
  • Writers of Nico Nico Pedia, for their article

Thank you for starring this and bringing it to my attention. I would have missed out otherwise.

You did draw a dinosaur, but the lack of colors make this games unsuitable for TASing. Voting NO. j/k, I really enjoyed it. These are the kind of TASes I can even show to my non-gamer friends to make them laugh.

Uhh, I wonder if anyone write a lua script that could draw a SVG picture -to- DS screen... a bit like the Alden script for mario paint.

This TAS, like the Family Feud TAS, shows the true potential of creativity with regards to TASing. Post-publication Yes vote.

I got a desync very soon into the movie, so I followed what the submission says to do it that happens. Trying that didn't change the desync at all, unfortunately. Does anyone have a savestate past the tricky spot that they could put up? I think I'd be able to watch the movie just fine if it just wouldn't desync shortly into it.

Unbelievable. This, for me, is right up there with Gradius and Family Feud; watching rampant creativity at work is extremely entertaining. WELL DONE!! Post-pub *huge* YES.
Oh, play it cool. Play it cool. Here come the space cops.

But what is so earth-shattering about this run that it needs to get a star? It is quite artistic and all, but star material? I think not.
Stars are not an award to innovative runs which show extreme TASing prowess (in fact, they aren't awards of any kind). I think Tub wrote the core reason why it deserves a star:

Oh, and this was one of the most entertaining runs I have seen in a long time. Great job.

at first i thought this would be the most boring TAS ever, but it was pretty cool. i'm not familiar with the game, but at least there was some nice drawing skills. i especially liked the hookshot.

Fantastic TAS. Nice to see the author is a fan of Super Smash Bros, and Nintendo.

I watched this today for the first time (I somehow missed it when it was submitted) and I say it's epic. Have a belated yes vote. ... though I was secretly hoping to see a Sonic somewhere

Imma let you finish, but this is the best run of all times. Of all times.
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate
