Hi! I'm Walgrey!
I'm a speedrunner. I've speedran many games, but the ones I'm most well known for are Geometry Dash, Skylanders: SWAP Force, & Mario Party 9 (weird selection, I know). I don't have a lot of experience with the more advanced aspects of making TASes, but I'm really passionate about doing my best!
This is my first time making a homepage and I don't really know what I'm supposed to put here? So, I'll just list of my current projects and my games wishlist. Hopefully I clean this up more soon.

Current Projects

GBC Walfie's Nonograms
Current progress: 25/150 segments
DSi Art Style: ZENGAGE
Current progress: 15/117 segments
DS Rango
NES Famidash "all levels, all coins"
Current progress: 22/100 segments
GB Stop That Roach!
Current progress: 10/100 segments
DS High School Musical: Makin' the Cut!
Current progress: 4/30(?) segments
SNES World’s Hardest Hack

Projects on Hold

Probably the biggest project I'm working on at the moment. Also one of the first "obscure" video games I've speedran. It's a 2D platformer where you have to find ingredients in several maze-like levels, with some cooking minigames here and there. I've had the pleasure of meeting RetroEdit and having them help me with the cooking minigames! I'm worried that some movement is a little unoptimized but I'm determined to make this the best TAS it can possibly be.
Current progress: 6/20 segments

Wishlists

And here we go! A list of games that I'd like to TAS or see TASed. Brace yourselves! It's a lot!
  • Black Widow
  • Blades of Steel
  • Double Dribble
  • One on One
  • Pac-Man
  • Qix
  • Road Fighter
  • RoboCop
  • Terra Diver
  • Zoo Keeper
  • Air Raid "max score"
    • Memory addresses 28, 29, and 2A are for the score, resetting to 0 after 999 975.
    • Enemies don't change x-positions until they are killed.
  • Asteroids "max score"
  • Backgammon
    • Note to self: do not tell the reader you don’t know how to play backgammon
    • RTA WR
  • Boulder Dash
  • Breakout
  • Caverns of Mars
    • The homebrew remake.
  • Centipede "max score"
  • Demon Attack "max score"
    • Lily wants me to do this one.
  • Dig Dug
    • For Lily
  • Double Dunk
    • Basketball game. Half-court 2 vs 2. Has the option between playing timed matches or playing until reaching a certain amount of points.
  • Fire Fighter
    • For Lily
  • Fishing Derby
  • Home Run
  • Ice Hockey
    • CPUs can score on their own goals, but this is rare. I’ve attempted to find a seed that only results in them scoring on themselves with little success.
  • Major League Baseball
  • Mario Bros.
    • It seems the stage number resets to 01 after passing 99 stages? It also looks like when it loops back to 01, the difficulty resets. Seems like an ending, although alternatively, "max score" could also work.
    • Getting past 1 000 000 resets the score.
    • Might also be cool to see a 2 player TAS of this.
  • Maze Craze "all mazes"
    • Maze Craze uses a seed to generate its mazes. 65 536 seeds, 65 536 mazes. This is like, a really bad idea, but I'm extremely curious to see how long this would take, or if it's even possible.
    • First, I’d need to make a program that can solve any maze. Then get a list of every seed. Every visited seed gets removed from the list until there are none left.
    • Assuming each maze on average takes 10 seconds (which is extremely generous), that’s 7.5 days.
  • Missile Command "max score"
  • Mountain King
    • RTA WR uses a glitch to clip through the floor that I can't seem to replicate
    • For Lily
  • Outlaw
    • Small game where you simply have to shoot a target 10 times. Weirdly enough though, I can't even tie the RTA IGT WR of 17 seconds.
  • Pac-Man
  • Qyx
  • RealSports Baseball
  • RealSports Basketball
    • Unreleased.
  • RealSports Boxing
  • RealSports Football
    • There is no time limit for a down, but you have to press the button to start a play, meaning that you either have to play the full 15 minutes, or figure out a way for the CPU to never score or end a play.
    • As far as I know, I don’t believe it’s possible to manip the CPU into doing nothing for 15 minutes.
    • So to minimize time, there’d have to be minimum plays.
    • RTA WR
  • RealSports Tennis
  • RealSports Volleyball
  • Return to Haunted House
    • Homebrew sequel to Haunted House
  • Street Racer
  • Surround
  • SwordQuest: AirWorld
    • If I can figure out where I can find a dump.
  • SwordQuest: FireWorld
  • SwordQuest: WaterWorld
  • Tennis
  • Video Checkers
  • Video Chess "Level 7"
    • My all time dream. I was really inspired when I saw Winslinator's Checkers "Game 3" TAS. I think the concept of reducing CPU thinking times is really neat! This is just that concept taken to its extreme.

    • GBA port of the 2005 PC game. Ear-bleeding music.
  • Balatro-GBA
    • Fan-made demake of Balatro on the GBA.
    • For Nieve
  • bit Generations: BOUNDISH
  • bit Generations: COLORIS
    • A game where you have to change the colours of tiles to clear them. My PB for this game is around 1 hour and 32 minutes. I'm really really curious to see how much faster a TAS can do it.
  • bit Generations: DIALHEX
    • Really fun, challenging game where you match triangular panels to make hexagon shapes.
  • bit Generations: DIGIDRIVE
    • You unlock this game's credits by beating the CPU on its three difficulties.
  • bit Generations: dotstream
    • A game where you race lines. I have a personal fondness for this one.
  • bit Generations: ORBITAL
    • A game where you control a star by pushing or pulling yourself towards gravitational fields. Probably the most difficult game of this series.
  • bit Generations: Soundvoyager
    • A game with lots of sound-based challenges. Very inventive.
  • Bratz: The Movie
  • Britney’s Dance Beat
  • Camp Lazlo: Leaky Lake Games
    • Walking simulator with some minigames.
  • Cars
  • Cars: Mater-National Championship
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
  • Chessmaster "All challenges"
    • There is a way to manipulate which corner the cursor appears in, but I can't figure out how.
  • E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
  • Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventures
    • A game I've done a lot of runs on, even submitted to a few marathons. It's a minigame collection essentially. Has quite a few autoscrollers.
  • Fullmetal Alchemist: Stray Rondo
  • High School Musical: Livin' the Dream
    • Pretty long 2D platformer. After beating the first half of the game, you have to beat the second half of the game while beating the times you set in the first half. You might have to waste time in the first half because of that? I remember having to do that in my run, as the game would become impossible if I didn't.
    • You lose 1 frame every time you jump/land.
    • Also has “takes damage/deaths to save time” potential.
    • The music notes you collect are tallied up in the singing section. Each note takes 2 frames to be tallied, and every 10 notes, you lose about 21 frames. Basically, the lower your notes, the better.
  • Hot Potato! "Score Game"
    • I noticed when I published my first TAS for this game, "Mission Game" was added as a branch, and so I thought "why not make a Score Game TAS?" Frankly, it's a lot longer and not really interesting, and I don't want to force myself to do something I don't really enjoy. So I'll just leave this here for now.
  • Inspector Gadget: Advance Mission
  • Inspector Gadget Racing
    • Racing game with Inspector Gadget characters. Pretty alright.
    • Each character has a special free power-up they can use every once in a while. Not 100% sure if the TAS would use her, but Penny’s shield is definitely the most useful.
  • Lego Racers 2
  • Lego Star Wars: The Video Game
  • Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
  • M&M’s Break ‘Em
  • MLB 2K7
  • Monster House "glitchless"
  • Monsters Inc.
  • Mouse Trap / Operation / Simon
    • One of those 3-in-1 games by DSI Games.
    • Simon's already been done. Mouse Trap uses a seed to determine all of the dice rolls.
  • NHL 2002
  • Open Season
  • Pac-Mania
  • Piglet's Big Game
    • Really, really bad game featuring Piglet.
  • Robots
  • Shark Tale
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature From the Krusty Krab
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!
  • Strawberry Shortcake: Sweet Dreams
    • I mean... it's a game that exists? Really short
  • Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
  • The Ant Bully
  • The Berenstain Bears & the Spooky Old Tree
    • A platformer where you switch control between three bears to solve puzzles.
  • The Cat in the Hat
  • The Cheetah Girls
  • The Invincible Iron Man
  • The Jungle Book
    • Really bad game.
  • The Land Before Time: Into the Mysterious Beyond
    • An interesting game with a surprisingly large gameplay variety. I see potential in this, although there is a really long autoscroller section.
  • The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
    • Don't even ask.
  • Winnie the Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure
    • Like Piglet's Bad Game but - sorry Piglet's Big Game (that was an actual typo lmao) but shorter.
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
    • C’mon! This HAS to be a thing! It even has exclusive levels!!

  • 007: Blood Stone
  • Aperture Science DS
  • Arkanoid DS
  • Backyard Baseball 10
  • Backyard Hockey
  • Barbie and the Three Musketeers
  • Battleship
    • Turn-based strategy game that's based off a movie that's based off a board game. Play less like the board game and more like Advance Wars.
    • ending your turn at different frames can affect the RNG decisions of enemy ships
    • Current progress: 1/? missions
  • Bee Movie Game
  • Big Time Rush: Backstage Pass
  • Boogie
  • Boulder Dash: Rocks!
  • Bratz Girls Really Rock
  • Bratz Ponyz 2
  • Break'em All
    • Breakout clone. Quest Mode involves getting the ball through a hole at the top of the screen to progress to the next stage. Also contains boss battles.
  • Brothers in Arms
  • Build-A-Bear Workshop: Welcome to Hugsville
    • Really long game where you have to play lots of minigames (up to 120 of them).
    • WIP needs to be improved (I pushed an NPC away from someplace they need to walk to. Perhaps try pushing them towards it to save time?)
  • Camp Rock: The Final Jam
  • Captain America: Super Soldier
  • Cars: Mater-National Championship
  • Cars Race-o-rama
  • Cars 2
  • Chessmaster: The Art of Learning
    • Chess game with minigames and timed puzzles.
  • Chibi-Robo! Park Patrol
  • Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
    • Mission-based Fruit Ninja clone that might be interesting to see. RNG plays a factor.
  • Crosswords DS "full completion"
    • I absolutely love this game. Playing it on and off for two years now.
    • Full completion would involve getting the highest rank on all 935 crosswords, beating all 240 wordsearches, and solving 900 anagram puzzles (to get their medals).
  • Color Cross
    • Picross but with multiple colours
  • Dancing with the Stars: We Dance!
  • Disney Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay
    • 2D platformer. Lots of characters can use attacks to move faster, other can’t. The hard part is going to be fighting enemies.
  • Disney Planes
    • I've done some runs of this myself. I don't really think TASing it will offer anything new other than it being really optimized.
  • Disney Tangled
    • Thought it would be easy, but there's some weirdness going on with the loading in this game. Outside of that, there's probably some routing potential (you can collect Sundrops and use them to skip minigames).
  • Disney's A Christmas Carol
    • Point and click Christmas game.
  • Eggheads
  • Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue
    • Sequel to Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventures
  • Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

  • Monster House
  • MOON
  • Motto! Stitch! DS Rhythm de Rakugaki Daisakusen
    • JPN-exclusive sequel to Disney Stitch Jam.
  • My French Coach
  • Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian “100%”
    • I completely adore this game. This game has definitely been my most exhilarating experience with TASing so far. I’d like to take that to the next level by doing a 100% TAS next. Not sure what the requirements are, but I’m sure they involve beating the bonus levels. That’s kind of another reason why I want to do this. There’s no footage of the bonus levels online.
    • Edit: Apparently the 100% requirements don't involve beating all of the bonus levels???
    • Until I actually do that though, I’ll just note what Ingots are required for which badges below (only including Ingots for levels that require Ingots found after the level):
      • One Giant Leap: Moon, Scarab
      • The Balloon Race (7 badges):
      • Testing Grounds
      • Discover the Moon: Elephant
      • Dig Into Fossils: Monkey
      • Extinction Theory: Monkey, Bull

      • When We Walked With the Dinosaurs (7 badges)
      • The Hall of Gems (no badge requirements): Elephant, Monkey
      • The Great Wall: Elephant
      • The Great Climb
      • The Forbidden City (no badge requirements, only Scarab allowed)
      • The Lunar Festival (7 badges)
      • Fireworks
      • Future Artists (7 badges)
      • Painting Storage (7 badges?)
      • The Pyramid Mystery (7 badges)
  • Open Season
  • Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension
  • Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff
  • Pictionary!
  • Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity
  • Puss in Boots
  • Ratatouille
    • Super curious to see how low this one can go.
  • Ratatouille: Food Frenzy
    • Horrible game that’s just the same 7 mini-games repeated for almost 2 hours.
    • Intentionally failing mini-games is sometimes faster.
  • Red Bull BC One
  • Rock Band 3
  • Sideswiped
    • Awesome arcade-styled racing game for the DS. Has tons of missions, an upgrade/shop system, and is super hard and long. This game took me months to beat, so I'm curious to see how low it could go.
    • Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't be the most entertaining TAS. Some of the most common missions, "Destruction" & "Crash Race" involve getting a certain amount of points before the time limit runs out. There isn't a way to make time run out faster (other than avoiding lag), so these are effectively autoscrollers. All the other missions, plus the complexity of routing car upgrades, interest me a lot.
    • The "Power" stat relates to your car's speed, and should be the most important upgrade for Time Attacks, Normal Races, and basically any mission where the time limit is irrelevant. Even increasing your mph by 10 is enough to shave 5 seconds per lap.
    • Truly the most difficult part of TASing this is making the playaround during time limit missions entertaining enough.
  • Shrek Forever After
  • Shrek Smash n' Crash Racing
  • Shrek Super Slam
  • SpongeBob’s Atlantis SquarePantis
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge
  • SpongeBob’s Truth or Square
  • Spy Kids: All the Time in the World
  • Style Savvy
  • The Cheetah Girls: Passport to Stardom
  • The Cheetah Girls: Pop Star Sensations
  • The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer
  • The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Circle of Spies
    • Bad, long 2D platformer with a lot of backtracking. For some reason, I would really like to see this one TASed. Just completely destroyed.
  • Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails
  • TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon
  • Up
  • WALL-E
  • Wipeout 2
    • Seems like running on the ground is faster than jumping repeatedly.
      • However, jumping repeatedly is faster than walking (if you're forced to walk).
    • Sliding down on steep slopes is fast, and you can keep the speed after jumping I think??
      • Sliding down low-angle slopes might actually be slower(?)
    • Landing on upward slopes slows you down, so avoid it if you can.
    • Running uses your stamina bar at the top-right. You can refill stamina by sliding or by reaching checkpoints. Falling in the water also makes you lose stamina.
    • If you land on a trampoline in a specific way, you can be launched while in the running state, allowing you to do a jump in mid-air.
    • After failing a challenge, you can press R to skip it at the cost of a time penalty. The fastest way to clear some of these episodes would involve skipping as many challenges as possible while still qualifying.
    • The announcer voicelines are random and can't be skipped!!!! AAAARGHHH!
      • It seems that the RNG for the voicelines is determined by system time at initialization. I only tested two times, and they differed by 226 frames. Safe to say that this will definitely be the hardest thing to deal with in this TAS.
        • "Yeah it's a little game where our obstacles try to drag our players' hopes and dreams into the drink." - 650f
    • The tutorial is not required to beat the game.
    • While I haven’t figured out if you can manipulate the CPUs in around 2, I did find out that they can be eliminated 8-11 seconds in.
  • Art Style: BASE 10
  • Art Style: BOXLIFE
  • Art Style: precipice
  • Art Style: ZENGAGE
  • Cut the Rope
  • UNO
Probably not going to get around to these any time soon (Dolphin is scary).
  • Arkanoid Plus!
  • Art Style series
  • Cars 2 "100%"
    • One of my favourite racing games on the Wii. It's so good. The speedrunning community has also found lots of amazing glitches and shortcuts, so this is just an absolute must.
  • Deadly Creatures
    • Game where you play as a spider and a scorpion. Really hope there's some glitch potential in this one.
  • Despicable Me: The Game
  • Disney Tangled "2 players"
    • A game where you can either control both characters with one player or two players. Using two separate controllers can allow for some timesaves.
  • Gradius Rebirth
  • Hot Wheels: Beat That!
  • Iron Man 2
    • Really hated this game. It's awful. Would love to see it destroyed though.
  • Just Dance 2 "full completion"

  • Lego Batman: The Videogame
  • Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
  • Mario Strikers Charged
  • NHL 2K11 "All Awards"
    • Or at least as many as you can get. Some of them are locked behind online play.
  • Rango
    • Would be incredible boring to actually do, but there is the one glitch that saves a lot of time.
  • Skylanders: SWAP Force
  • Skylanders: Trap Team
    • Will never happen unless we specifically get TAS tools for Skylanders.
    • To add insult to injury, both games here aren’t accurate on Dolphin.
  • You, Me, and the Cubes "all stages"
    • Very hard game. Beating the game will unlock a second series of stages that are a lot harder.
  • WALL-E
  • Captain America: Super Soldier
  • Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash
  • Crosswords Plus "full completion"
    • The sequel to Crosswords DS. Probably unlikely for this to happen though, as some unlocks are based on play time (up to 3 days).
