Cam angle shows values in range of 0..4096), where these values correspond to each cardinal direction: 0/4095 - north, 1024 - east, 2048 - south, 3072 - west.
You can vibe-code a Lua script to show this info on the screen and apply some formulas, like player's velocity based on X and Y changes between frames, or convert camera angle to 360-degree angle.

Uses a stack which lets you gain 80 points in 13 stacks and in the faster time. However, there is one problem:
Unlike in wesen's WIP, the stack sequence here appears to be so easy for the CPU that at no chance it puts a stack on top of one another, unless it's a combo, which leads to a major time lose. Looks like, wesen's solution is technically the fastest. I resynced it and adjust the first attack manipulation.

Basically, this is the early input file I provided earlier (639027795714399251), but it goes through the credits roll and enters the name "ZEO" at the end. It finishes after the "Game Over" green screen fades out to make the life for publishers easier, because then the game intro cutscene is shown.

This trick was discovered by junkyard_dave. The movie is a regular walkthrough with the TAS part in Zone F to show the trick.
This can be useful to examine how to achieve the conditions: Forum/Posts/530100
Bizhawk 2.3.1, but it successfully syncs on Bizhawk 2.9.1. A USA ROM is required of either good and questionable dump quality.

This TAS competes nearly half of the game and stops at vertical section of Zone F where a box ascension glitch must be performed to save time. In order to perform it, you need to make Y subpixel of both players identical at the moment when you enter the hole. Subpixels is semi-random values which affect the dynamics of players' dynamic of movement. When the player stays on the same height, its Y subpixel loops (that's why it's not completely random).
The problem is, I spend 40 frames on matching Y subpixels. There must be a way to save a little more time.

The addresses you need to follow are 0460 and 0461, which show the current Y subpixel positions for Chip and Dale respectively.
Please, help me optimize it, or else I will go on with the existing optimization. I will include you as a co-author, if you want! I didn't manage to improve it, so now I just go on.

This is a copy of https://tasvideos.org/1128M which plays back on BizHawk 2.9.1 (NESHawk core).
It's slower than its FCE Ultra counterpart movie by 29 frames, which are extra lagged frames detected by NESHawk.
The input file survived two conversions (FCM -> FM2 -> BK2), but it maintains its original ROM hash and other metadata, except rerecords count.

I tried redoing the run with the very first turn left, but ended up with the same time near the first door. I tried further, grabbed the secret shotgun and ended up with the same time near the second door. So, I think this run is optimized
