This trick was discovered by junkyard_dave. The movie is a regular walkthrough with the TAS part in Zone F to show the trick.
This can be useful to examine how to achieve the conditions: Forum/Posts/530100

Bizhawk 2.3.1, but it successfully syncs on Bizhawk 2.9.1. A USA ROM is required of either good and questionable dump quality.

This RAM watch contains helpful addresses of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers for NES.

It includes X and Y positions, and X and Y subpixels for both players.

This TAS competes nearly half of the game and stops at vertical section of Zone F where a box ascension glitch must be performed to save time. In order to perform it, you need to make Y subpixel of both players identical at the moment when you enter the hole. Subpixels is semi-random values which affect the dynamics of players' dynamic of movement. When the player stays on the same height, its Y subpixel loops (that's why it's not completely random).
The problem is, I spend 40 frames on matching Y subpixels. There must be a way to save a little more time.

The addresses you need to follow are 0460 and 0461, which show the current Y subpixel positions for Chip and Dale respectively.

Please, help me optimize it, or else I will go on with the existing optimization. I will include you as a co-author, if you want! I didn't manage to improve it, so now I just go on.

Although, it isn't necessary for ROM dump to be good. If the movie syncs until the end, then it's accepted.

This is a copy of https://tasvideos.org/1128M which plays back on BizHawk 2.9.1 (NESHawk core).
It's slower than its FCE Ultra counterpart movie by 29 frames, which are extra lagged frames detected by NESHawk.

The input file survived two conversions (FCM -> FM2 -> BK2), but it maintains its original ROM hash and other metadata, except rerecords count.

I resynced it mainly to have a convenient way to copy-paste Bonus stages and boss fights between two TAStudio windows.
It also might be useful for console verification, to check if NESHawk polls the input correctly.

I tried redoing the run with the very first turn left, but ended up with the same time near the first door. I tried further, grabbed the secret shotgun and ended up with the same time near the second door. So, I think this run is optimized

From non-default ones, it has no memory card in Slot A, MMU enabled, Widescreen Hack on and Aspect Ration is "Forced 16:9".

I have absolutely no plans to beat the whole game. This run was made just for fun. Sure thing, cheat codes were used to warp to the required stages. More details are in YT video description.

Recorded using Bizhawk 2.6.1. Works alright on 2.8.

Prerequisites:

0) Get the firmware for 32X and place three .bin files (68k, SH2 Master, SH2 Slave, or G, M, S) in \BizHawk-2.8-win-x64\Firmware\

1) Turn on the game (File -> Open ROM)

2) Click on PicoDrive in the top bar

3) Go to -> Settings -> RegionOverride and choose US.

4) Launch the movie: File -> Movie -> Play Movie... By default, it looks for movies in \BizHawk-2.8-win-x64\Movies, but you can set the file location by clicking on the folder button.
