Due to a miscalculation with the damage I would have to take in the Pumpkin Patch I had to redo the exit out of Dr. Finklestein's lab.
On the bright side I took an extra 20+ frames to pick up the extra needed health (in the room outside of the Snake room), yet I leave the area only 12 frames slower. I found a couple small optimizations on the last few screens.

This is where health management is going to be a huge hassle. I've got three minibosses to face in this area, all of which I optimally have to take damage from, and I have to not die while traversing the first half of the area. The second half of the Pumpkin Patch (after the minibosses) gives you an unskippable shrunken head so I just have to survive until then.

I'm up to Mega Spider who's going to be a pain to optimize (like all of the other bosses). Regardless, I've spent a lot of time finding ways to kill enemies without losing anytime whatsoever, hopefully to add (more) entertainment value to the run.

I'm now restarting the TAS for the eighth time, this time using the Japanese version. This WIP saves 127 frames off of my last English WIP (the Japanese version up to this point only saves 109 frames, the rest came from strat changes).
I haven't gotten far, but I wanted to upload this for archival reasons.
I had to restart the TAS after finding a few new movement optimizations. This game is fairly long (compared to other games I've TAS, which isn't saying much) so I'm not even that far into it at this point.
