The 8 cars of the game can be divided in three tiers:
! Top tier
* Honda Accord, Volvo S40, Renault Laguna
These are the fastest cars in the game, accelerating to top speed faster than any of the other cars. The difference between the three is practically negligible, and I've never been able to find any conclusive evidence for any of the three cars to excel over the other two. I do know that they have different collision models, but this makes hardly any difference.
! Audi tier
* Audi A4
The Audi is an unique car. Due to its extra weight it is more sluggish than the top cars, although it's still better than the bottom tier cars. However, due to its 4 wheel drive it has a great advantage in grip overall and especially in rainy conditions.
! Bottom tier
* Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo, Nissan Primera, Peugeot 406
These cars simply can't compete with the top cars. No reason to use them.

!! Tricks
! Donington Park (GP)
* Esses shortcut: Driving on the grass to the left of the esses and avoiding the gravel (or passing slightly through it) allows one to take the turn much faster than by braking to follow the road on the esses.
* Pit lane shortcut: Entering the pit lane at the final lap or a qualifcation lap is shorter than going through the final hairpin turn, and allows you to get a faster lap time. Note that the pit lane extends on for quite a bit longer into the next lap, which makes it overall slower if the race is not ended.
! Silverstone International
* Maggotts shortcut: The Maggotts turn (second turn from lap start) can be bypassed by going to the right through the grass and past the signs pointing left. May or may not be faster than simply following the road; probably slower.

! Some numbers to do maths with
* Total number of miles in a championship is 1117.66 miles (excluding qualification) or 1163.98 miles (including 1 qualification lap every race).
* The Donington TAS runs at an average speed of 122.4 mph if comparing lap time and lap length.
* Extrapolating from above numbers, the total racing time would amount to 9 hours and 9 minutes (without qualification) or 9 hours and 32 minutes (with 1 lap qualification). Add to that menu time, loading time and interim time between every race.
