The longest TAS I've ever done!

Some time ago, I made a Resident Evil 4 glitchfest that was almost 4 hours long. Unfortunately, it was rejected due to problems with the save file and because I didn't have a verification video. However, this time I outdid myself. Not only because I have an authentic verification movie, but also because I managed to make a longer TAS than that one lol.
This TAS is longer than the old one because it shows more things and, obviously, more glitches. It's very similar to the previous one. Almost everything that was shown at the previous glitchfest is also in this one (that's because the previous one was rejected). If you watched the old one, you'll see the similarity, although with many differences. I did the same glitches, but in different ways.

About the TAS

Like the other one, this TAS was created in New Game Plus, starting the game with infinite weapons (Chicago, Handcannon, etc.) and some other weapons, such as the Stryker, which is very important. Starting the game in New Game Plus drastically increases the number of glitches that can be performed, and therefore this TAS cannot be started on an empty save file. Unlike the other one, this time I have a verification movie :)
Clear differences between this TAS and the old one:
  • This TAS was created in professional mode (the other one was in normal mode);
  • This TAS was made using Leon's normal clothes and not the special RPD suit (this is due to glitches with Ashley);
  • The weapons are different (I already started the game with the mine thrower, with the pistol on the exclusive, and without Matilda);
Otherwise, everything is very similar. The glitches are practically the same, with the difference that this TAS contains more glitches that were not included in the previous one.

Glitches

FROM PREVIOUS SUBMISSION:
Many glitches have occurred in this TAS, but few have any documentation. I will comment here on some that were frequent.
  • When Leon jumps, whether it's from a fence or from a high place, he lands on the ground. However, at some points in the game, if you're in a specific position and jump, Leon ends up landing inside an object or even inside the ground. This causes him to lose collision with the ground and walls and allows you to exit the map. This glitch occurs in several parts of the game, in several different ways, but the way it works is the same. See examples here and here.
  • Still on the glitch above, if Leon jumps much further than he should, he ends up losing all collision with the ground and falling forever. See at minute 30:40 and 3:19:24.
  • For some reason, the game developers sped up Leon's animation aiming the Striker. As a result, if you aim the Striker and before the crosshair appears, you enter the briefcase and equip another weapon, Leon will accelerate, almost twice as fast. This is a very famous glitch called "Ditman Glitch", used a lot in speedruns and also a lot in this TAS because it causes other glitches.
  • Apparently, if you dodge a ganado's attack while the Ditman glitch is activated, you can stab objects or ganados from a distance. You'll see this on the farm, when I destroyed a crate from a distance (more specifically at minute 8:03 of my encode) and also in the castle, in the part with the cultists with RPG, when I stabbed the cultists from a distance (minute 1:13:04). I'm not sure how this glitch works, much less why it occurs.
  • When Leon is grabbed, takes damage from a ganado, does a jump animation or a kick animation, at the same time as a grenade or an RPG explodes, he does not take damage from the explosion.
  • When there is a narrow corner with a door and that door is opened, with Leon in the corner, he ends up inside the door and the enemies get confused. You will see this in the part before Bitorez's house, minute 15:19 and also in the gates with regenerators, minute 2:57:46.
  • When Leon is crouched (like in the part of the war where you can crouch in the bags), if you aim, Leon will stand up. However, if you stand up, aim, enter the briefcase and equip another weapon, Leon will exit the crouching animation, but the game will understand that he is still crouched. By doing this, you can crouch anywhere, just by pressing the aim button. This happens at 13:45 and can only be done on GameCube (as far as I remember). See here.
  • Leon can shoot through doors with the TMP+ stock. This only works on the GameCube. See here.
  • In mine carts, it is possible to jump out of the cart by standing in a specific position. With Ditman glitch activated, it is possible to do so without even activating the cart, see here.
  • When equipped with Infinite Rocket Launcher, if you aim with the knife and while aiming, take any attack or damage, Leon will bug and hold the RPG in the middle of his body lol. This is just a graphical glitch, nothing major happens.
  • When Leon aims, whether with a knife or a gun, Ashley stays behind him. If you do this near a wall, Ashley ends up going inside the wall. If you do this on the edge of a floor, she loses her collision with the floor. By throwing eggs, you can make her float in the air. This happens at 1:25:44.
  • It is possible to suplex with Ashley, by crouching the cultists with the door (see here. If I remember correctly, this only works on the GameCube (maybe on the wii too).
  • The loading animation of some weapons is completely bugged when Leon has Ditman glitch activated. The wooden rifle is a good example of this and you will see at 3:35:40.
  • On levers, Leon takes no damage while exiting or entering the spin animation. This makes him invincible to attacks or fireballs. If you enter or exit the animation too quickly, Leon gets glitched, like at minute 56:30. Another example of this glitch is at 1:02:25.
  • In the part where Leon is caged with the Garrador, in the castle, when you kill all the cultists, some start jumping from the ceiling. However, if you have an infinite rocket launcher and kill the cultists on the ceiling before they jump to the ground, a glitch occurs. New cultists are born, but they are invisible. They stay on the ceiling and after a while they jump down, but are still invisible. I don't have a good explanation for this glitch, just see here.
  • Equipping the automatic rifle, at the shooting range, when talking to the merchant and choosing a range mode, the weapons are changed. But, if you cancel, when you return to the rifle, it will be out of bullets. I haven't tested if it works with other weapons. See at 1:47:49.
  • In the 2 El Gigantes it is possible to go out of the map with Ditman glitch like this. Outside the map, you can go ahead to the door that leads to the Novistadores' cave. However, if you do this and return to the room with the 2 El Gigantes, they will be spawned without the cutscene having been activated. If you damage one of them and do the animation of going up with the knife, the cutscene will play and Leon will have the knife in his hand, no matter what happens. See the whole process here.

New Glitches/Explanations

  • In the center of the village, if any Ganado sees Leon, the game activates all the other Ganados and closes the door leading to the farm until Leon survives or kills enough Ganados. You already know this. However, all this only happens if a Ganado sees Leon. With the infinite Rocket Launcher, it's possible to pass through the village without the Ganados seeing Leon. When a missile is fired directly at a Ganado, it completely disintegrates. Incredibly, the Ganados don't hear Leon firing missiles at other Ganados. By positioning yourself correctly, you can fire the RPG at all enemies without alerting any of them. This causes some very strange things. First, you can hear the Ganados complaining, even though they're all dead. Second, you can go to the farm without activating the village. Third, the cutscene that plays when entering the second house remains intact and can be activated later when Leon returns to the village with the key (in 1-3). See it at 3:00 and 20:29.
  • While Ashley is around, some Ganados will grab her. If you step in front of a Ganado while they're trying to grab Ashley, they'll end up grabbing Leon instead. This even happens with the Bella Sisters. See clear examples here and here.
  • When grabbed by a Ganado, if you press the directional buttons fast enough, Leon will ALWAYS kill them, regardless of how much HP they have left. See it here.
  • When a merchant is on a map containing enemies, he adopts the movements of the ganados (or cultists) when he dies, whether burned or shot. The merchant died several times in different ways in this TAS. See examples: 1:10:24 - 1:37:16 - 3:14:41
  • The Novistadors have a "kick" attack that throws Leon far away. If Leon climbs a ladder in the same frame as a Novistador performs a kick attack, he ends up going off the map. See 1:38:11 and 2:15:28.
  • If Leon opens the door in the same frame that Verdugo knocks it down, the door glitches. See here.
  • For some reason, there's an invisible wall in the window that opens after we defeat Bitorez. I had to go back to the door to show this because there's no checkpoint after killing Bitorez. See here.
  • And speaking of Bitorez, there are several glitches in his "spider" phase. If you get close enough to him, from the side, he will try to hit Leon. However, there's a point where Leon isn't hit and he keeps trying to hit Leon forever - 1:11:25 - and another glitch is that if you stand in the center of Bitorez's side position, he will keep turning indefinitely - 1:12:21.
This TAS contains hundreds of glitches, and I can't explain them all. I believe I've explained the most noticeable ones.

Gecko
To add the codes, right-click on the game (Resident Evil 4 (USA) Disc 1.iso) and select "Properties". There will be two tabs labeled "AR Codes" and "Gecko Codes". In AR Codes, click "Add New Code" and add all the action replay codes listed above. In "Gecko Codes", do the same and add the super speed code.
VERY IMPORTANT: You need to enable cheats. In the emulator, click on "Options" and "Configuration". In the configuration tab, activate the "Enable Cheats" option.
I used codes to make the verification movie because it saves an absurd amount of time. If I had to unlock everything, I'd have to beat the game multiple times, complete mercenaries with all characters, and it would probably result in a movie of more than 10 hours. So, I decided to use codes to make the verification save much faster.
NOTE: The codes were used ONLY in the verification movie, to unlock game features! There are no codes in the TAS.

Instructions

  • Download the verification movie;
  • The verification movie starts from a brand new, empty save file. So, If necessary, delete the "USA" folder in Dolphin Emulator ► GC;
  • Activate all the codes I mentioned above;
  • With the codes active, play the verification movie;
  • When the movie finishes, it will create a save file in Dolphin Emulator ► GC ► USA ► Card A
  • It might create a folder called "Movie" inside the "USA" folder. If that happens, go into that "Movie" folder and copy the files from the "Card A" folder and paste them into the "Card A" folder inside the "USA" folder.
After doing all that, with the save files in the "USA ► Card A" folder, go to the "Options ► Configuration" tab of the emulator and uncheck the "Enable Cheats" option. After that, right-click on the game again ► Properties and disable ALL codes, both in "AR Codes" and "Gecko Codes". With all codes disabled, you can run the TAS movie.
I don't think I forgot to mention anything here. If I did, I'll come back and add it to this submission. Thanks to everyone who's going to watch and have fun :)
