Famidash is a homebrew NES demake of the 2013 PC/mobile rhythm platformer game, Geometry Dash. This TAS plays through all official main levels on Version 1.2.8, and improves the previous TAS by approximately 7.2 seconds.
When I started TASing Version 1.2.8, I noticed that levels would load faster than Version 1.2, saving considerable amounts of time. I was going to first make an "all levels, all coins" TAS until I made a discovery (but more on that later). If you're unfamiliar with this TAS, I'd suggest reading through these submission notes in order to better understand it.

Improvements

One thing worth mentioning is that in this version of the game, some levels were edited a little bit. Certain portals were moved in certain positions which resulted in some previous skips becoming no longer possible and some brand new skips appearing. Like the previous run, Clutterfunk is played last so input can be ended early.

Geometrical Dominator

Because the portals are shifted around, I can now get the Geometrical Dominator Skip.

Deadlocked

This is where shit starts to hit the fan. Apparently, given the right conditions, the wave can just sometimes clip through slopes? I discovered this by accident, and was able to find a way to clip back in bounds while skipping a speed portal. You can't collect the coin when doing this skip though, so this can't be used in an "all coins" TAS. This is when I decided to make the "main levels" TAS, so that I didn't forget the skip.
Unfortunately, the previous skip where I jumped over a speed portal while using the robot doesn't work anymore, so I am forced to lose a little time there.

Fingerdash

In the previous TAS, I skipped a size portal that allowed me to stay mini during the robot. Consequently, this allowed me to skip speed portals in the wave section easily. For some reason, I could not skip this portal anymore, but luckily, I was able to clip through slopes in the wave to skip the speed portals anyway.

Dash

Dash Skip 1 works here now. In Geometry Dash, you can skip the speed portal in the swing portal with a well-timed jump, but I couldn't get this to work in Famidash.
Other than that, not much else happens. I'm able to clip out of bounds for a moment, which is really funny. The giant skip at the end still works by the way, it's just slightly harder to get now, since you have to clip into the block some more.

Comments

"all levels, all coins" will be done when I care to do it. Suggested screenshot is 98015f.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to play the ultimate game of hide-and-seek. It's me against everyone, I'm hiding. With my newfound slope-clipping abilities, I can hide inside any slope I want! Mountains, hills, roofs: I can be in any of them. All you have to do is try to find me! Good luck! - Walgrey

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: I've seen many games where glitches were patched out. Fortunately, this version helped to make things better in another regard. According to our rules
Any official release of a game is allowed as long as you can explain your choice, and as long as that version is easily available for verification.
Here...your explanation is good, as this latest version is exploited to complete the game even faster with 436 frames of improvement. Great job!
