This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun of the USA version of Mega Man 2 on Normal difficulty using the Glitchless ruleset. The goal of this movie is to complete the game as fast as possible without using glitches or unintended exploits. All movement, stage progression, and boss fights are performed using intended game mechanics, with optimization focused on routing, movement precision, weapon management, and boss strategies. Lag reduction was considered whenever possible, and every route and weapon choice was selected to produce the fastest overall completion. Any apparent detours are intentional and result in a net time save later in the run. This movie aims to represent the fastest known completion of Mega Man 2 (USA) on Normal difficulty under the Glitchless ruleset using fully deterministic and reproducible input.

Samsara: Claiming for judging.
Samsara: A fully optimized glitchless Mega Man 2 TAS should only be a few seconds longer than the published zipless run. While the input time of this submission is inflated by over 3 minutes due to very late input end, the run is still around 30:00 long when trimmed to the last input, which is still almost 3 minutes slower than the near-identically routed zipless TAS and also slower than at least 10 RTA zipless runs, several of which are over a minute faster. This should not be happening with a TAS. With infinite time, infinite retries, and tools at your disposal, a TAS should always be able to beat, or at least match, the most optimized unassisted run.
Please read your submission threads. I get the feeling you don't know they exist, so I'll link all five of them throughout the rest of this paragraph. You're getting great advice from experienced TASers that you can use to substantially improve your work, as well as advice on how the site operates and how your behavior with submissions may be seen as troublesome or disruptive to the site.
Rejecting.

Maxi: Thanks for your comment; I'll take it into account.
