Introduction...

Hello Kitty: Party is basically the Sanrio buddies' average getting-ready-to-party experience, but presented in minigame form across five (or six) pages; you hand out invitations, make dresses, buy some things, cook food, and then the actual party itself.
...there's also a dressing up thing you can do, but in this TAS it doesn't matter...
This TAS is the equivalent of "What if party, but fast?"

Game Objectives...

  • Complete every unique minigame (yes, I know "Cooking Time" exists, but it's basically just minigames you can already play by themselves, so it's basically worthless)
  • Heavy luck manipulation
  • Emulator used: BizHawk 2.11.1

The Secret Ingredient...

RNG is used in around half of the minigames, and each minigame has differences in how it is used, thus differing how much time can be cut.
  • On the low end of the time-RNG spectrum, "What Was In the Shopping Cart?" only uses RNG to determine what food is generated, as well as the position of each '"'lost" food. This doesn't really have any time cuts from RNG.
  • On the opposite end, however "Button Game" uses RNG every time Kurousa and Shirousa throw a button. There are six colors of buttons, with only four having the ability to give you points, thus meaning that the RNG can VASTLY range the time.

Thankfully, RNG can be manipulated via two options. Those being...

  • Pausing; and
  • Starting a minigame on a specific frame.
A few frames can be lost, but the time gained from pauses to manipulate RNG vastly outweigh the lost frames.
For example, "Button Game" can be manipulated via pausing so that every single button thrown is one of the four colors that are needed to gain points, thus gaining many seconds over not using RNG manipulation.
The length of these pauses and how much later the minigame can start also varies throughout the TAS, as some can also infer bad RNG.

Other Comments...

...Yep, I think I'm done here. This game isn't all that interesting...
But there's a TAS for it, so I think it's a bit more interesting.
