Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is the Game Boy Color version of the original Super Mario Bros. It was released in 1999. In addition to the standard game, it also features a challenge mode which is available after beating the game.

In this movie, gameplay starts after having beaten the game and unlocking the "You vs. Boo" mode by having collected 100,000 points. Mario must race Boo through several worlds which have been modified to make them more interesting in a race.
