A couple years before Bridge Builde and 13 years before the Bridge Constructor indie game, this was an early entry in an ongoing builder sim series with many releases spanning (pun intended) from Windows 3.x to modern Windows and browsers. Choose a size and type of metal bar or tube, and try to make a cost-effective bridge that doesn't collapse during the physics-based Load Test.

West Point Bridge Designer is a physics-based engineering simulator developed in 1998 by Stephen Ressler. This simulator was an early entry to a builder simulation series. The goal of this simulator is to build a cost-effective bridge that won't collapse during the physics-based load test.
CoolKirby designs and builds a Herman Haupt Memorial bridge as fast as possible.
The baseline tab shows the default movie beating the game as fast as possible without any special conditions.
