Grand Theft Auto is an action game developed by DMA Design and published by BMG Interactive in 1997. It is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game is split across three cities (Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City), each with two chapters. The player plays the role of a criminal in the big city, and they must accumulate enough points by completing missions in order to advance to the next chapter.
