Brave Blade is a vertical shoot 'em up that was developed for the arcades by Raizing. It takes place in a European medieval-themed future world where a war is fought with giant ships that can transform into mecha robots. The game has the unique mechanic of having dedicated buttons for melee attacks and a guard mode, in addition to shooting. All of those actions influence a power meter, which dictates how long guard mode can be used before it breaks.
