The most serious game on TASVideos.
Improvement against #3811: jlun2's GBA My Little Pony Crystal Princess: The Runaway Rainbow in 24:04.59 (after discarding lack of BIOS in VBA).
Main improvement just comes from better RNG manipulation and lag reduction.

Darkman425: Claiming the horse gaming.
Darkman425: I guess a bit of historical context is in order. It's a part of history where I wasn't following the site culture so I do apologize in advance for getting anything wrong here. Back in 2013 jlun2 submitted two submissions for games based on the My Little Pony franchise. Both were rejected not for optimization issues but for not being "serious games" as this was during the time the Vault class existed. So what does that even mean? Good question, since going by the now archived legacy Vault page from around when both were judged it was completely nebulous for games that weren't board games, game shows, and/or sports games. Even the judge who rejected it noted that "serious game" clause was subjective, as noted in their post in the DS game's submission post rejection. In other words, the old submission was a victim of the more restrictive and ultimately more arbitrary game choice rules of the 2010s. Thankfully TASVideos is more open to what's acceptable which is actually a lot cooler.
As for the submission, after taking out the ~4.5 seconds the GBA BIOS startup takes this does indeed beat the old submission by jlun2. Turns out this My Little Pony game for kids has the things that would frustrate any seasoned TASer: lag reduction and RNG manipulation. Much like the Genesis Barney game it turns out there's some interesting tech to completing the game quickly in this kid's game, who knew? Though in this case it's more subtle in time saving techniques.
Accepting to Standard.
