Hi!
This is the last and fastest splatter house TAS i have finished. minor improvements here and there like using shotgun on the fly- boss. And I also use frameadvance this time which is also a factor why I'm faster in this movie. And now this movie may look better cause I wanted it too look smooth, and not only be fast! So now it is a peace of art if I can say it myself. And I absolutely don't want to brag but I think this movie maybe is hard to improve (but not impossible)!
Sit back, relax, and enjoy my last and best Splatter House TAS! ; )

adelikat: I have followed the progress of this TAS and am naturally accepting it for publication. Good Job.

adelikat: Processing...

adelikat: The hash of the file does not match the good dump, but it syncs on it, so I catalogged it with the good one.

This work shows a lot of improvement in your TASing abilities. Keep it up :)
Sorry for the late submission!
3-4 is not a late submission by any means. I was expecting it to take weeks.

I'm surprised this hasn't been published yet. Nothing spectacular, but definitely something nice to watch with a cup of tea, sort of like the runs for Jackie Chan's Action Kung-Fu. Yes vote.

I'm surprised too. But I can understand why, since the judges must have much work to do, when new movies almost daily shows up..! I have to live with the fact, that the movie with most yes-votes goes first, and then when it gets many, many yes-votes, it gets published! But I'm glad that you liked it Dromiceius, and I'm also glad that this movie is accepted! =)

I liked this movie. I wish there was some way to manipulate the doors so you wouldn't have to wait on them to open. I also laughed at the "WINNERS DON'T USE DRUGS." :)

<tumu> either i'm seeing things or the splatterhouse tas is suboptimal <Mukki> what do you see? <tumu> walking too far <Mukki> WHOA!! i think i just spotted what you mean. Around 13 minutes he walks a few steps beyond the castle door before turning and going in. I dont know if this was meant...if not it is a TASing sin. Response?

Great run! I own this game, too. There are 2 "hidden" stages. You may or may not be aware of them. The first is at the "fly-man" stage. You can enter one of the machine and it transports u to a new stage. The other is in the Mansion (last stage) when the wizard is chasing you down then throws u in that monster face. Enter that door before the face (without getting touched by the wizard) and you will see the 2nd stage there. At the end of the hidden stages you gain an orb of some sort. One of the 2 has a part where u watch a woman dance, and you can make Rick FART!!!!!! HAHAHA She then gets pissed and says you are rude. There are translation pages around the net if u wanna get more info/details about this stuff ^_^

"Around 13 minutes he walks a few steps beyond the castle door before turning and going in. I dont know if this was meant...if not it is a TASing sin." I have to do that. So it's not a TASing sin. :P When I walk to the castle door, I have to pass the door to make the game scroll to the right. You can't go into the castle, until you have done that. That's strange and sad, that's for sure. "There are 2 "hidden" stages. You may or may not be aware of them. The first is at the "fly-man" stage. Didn't know anything about any secret level from the "fly-man" stage! ; ) Have to check that out sometime! Did know the other hidden stage though, when the wizard is chasing you, and you run away from him and enter that door instead! Thank you for the tips, cideprojekt! I don't know if I'm going to make another run where I play the hidden stages... I'm kinda fed up with Splatter House now!... ;P

Man, the year 2006... That was a while ago! I think it's about time for an optimization! .... I just played for the first boss; want to see what feedback one gets to this game, before I continue .... http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55460998736226313

How does this compare to the best ending tas? Iirc that movie did certain sections present in the any% faster than the old movie, the best ending would make for a better comparison imo. Another thing to note is the RTA runners use a restart sequence to skip a portion of the game’s intro, not sure if you did that in your movie but it’s probably worth looking into.

Thanks for the reply, man!

Don't quite understand what you mean with the restart sequence, but I checked out Samsara's Splatterhouse video and I don't see anything of his/her video that's unusual either; am I missing something? Would be nice if someone here could confirm this. Diman's splatterhouse TAS-First level to the second http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55463615523237144

Iirc Samsara didn’t use that trick in her movie, but here’s the WR run doing the reset trick: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/422306573 You’ll notice once they start the game, they immediately reset the console so they can press “continue”, this skips the intro cutscenes.

Oh. Okay, I understand; I believe that's considered to be "cheating", thus they won't accept one's tas. I get a "Deja Vu vibe" that I have posted a WIP or a complete TAS waaaay back ago where I'm using this feature/trick, and it didn't get nice feedback. However, they may have changed this rule over the years?.... Once again would be nice if someone could confirm this.
