As long as plausibility is not a requirement... A 'Do This TAS For Me' button would be most excellent in terms of saving effort on the author's part. Then again, that would for all intents and purposes make the computer the author... [EDIT by Bisqwit: Thread split from Dream TAS tools.]

I'd like a tool that does the TAS for me, with adjustable speed and entertainment bars. Mm-hmm.

Atro city, that was such an awesome idea, I just had to make one. (It's in VB, so if you don't run windows, sucks to be you) Edit: Fixed the bug Bisqwit pointed out :)

This is like, the greatest program ever. It has a little Bisqwit-like-o-meter bar and DMG setting and everything!

JXQ, Simply outstanding. Edit: Looking at the program some more, I noticed there's a movie format called "DMG", and when you click it it says "Error, format not recognized". I don't really get that, is it supposed to be a joke? I've never heard of DMG and don't see it mentioned anywhere on this site. It also seems odd that all the major movie formats seem to be supported except for game boy movies. Hope someone can fill me in here.

There's an error in your program. You have written the parameters in the (four?) InStr() call(s) in wrong order. Also, Truncated is not Russian...

? It worked as I intended. Either the logic is the same in this instance despite the order, or you're poking fun back at me and it's over my head :) edit: ah crap, you're right. edit: fixed it. Thanks for being a good sport, btw :)

That's right, he's a JUDGE, much greater than us lowly mortals. As such, he needs no nationality.

This program is delightfully bonkers.
Speed Rating: 7 Entertainment Rating: 6 Congratulations on your future publication! Congratulations also on your future obsoletion!
I wonder what all the different things it can say are.

Nach thinks "Game Boy" is properly abbreviated "DMG". No one else gets it but he's about as unmovable on this opinon as a rock.

Take out the N64 bias now! or ye shall feel the wrath of the combined might of the next generation of TASers, who are more brave then the 2D dwelling neophytes.

I can tell you that, but the information costs about 100000 credits!

comicalflop, By "next generation of TASers", do you in fact mean "people from SpeedDemoArchives"?

That is exactly the joke. There was a big argument a few weeks back because people kept reffering to Game Boy as DMG and most people never knew what the hell it meant. Hence "format not recognised". My personal favorite part of the program, rather clever :)

It isn't bias; I wasn't able to pin down the algorithm to write an entertaining N64 TAS. I got stuck when I had to solve for an explicit formula to a fifth degree polynomial. I'll keep working on it. Edit: See, the joke is that its impossible. At least xebra would have laughed :P

Whatever that is, it fails at being an entertaining stereogram.

It's an attempt at providing you enough "credit"s to disclose information. Made by pasting a hundred instances of the word "credit" many thousand times.

Ah, I see. Well, the image resolution is 495*271, which makes 134145 pixels. According to Imagemagick histogram function, it has 106350 black pixels. Indicating a single "credits" word takes definitely more than 1.0635 pixels (and you also need a comparable amount of contrasting pixels in order to read it), hence your picture cannot possibly contain 100000 times the word "credits". I'd say it only contains approximately 20000 times that word, and even most of that is unreadable. Perfectly overlapping words don't count.
