I wasn't satisfied with the first run of this game which was 14:58 so i am going for the 2nd. Any ideas how can this time be improved, any glitches?

Exim sent me yesterday a ~10 minute run of that game. You can watch that for learning, if it makes it :)

Ok, me and a friend's done a piece of the game, you can find it here (Emu:FCEU. ROM Name:Shadow of the ninja.nes) Think we should go on? Is there something that needs improving?

2-1 (or whatever the sewer is) -- it might be a second or two faster to have the ninja at opposite ends of the snake-robot's room, rather than both of you guys running back and forth? 3-Boss -- Is it really faster to hit the boss while he's forming (particularly after he begins taking actual damage)? Doesn't he simply try to appear underneath you? Knowing that, wouldn't it be better to move to the edge of the screen and kill him so that his pieces will fly off quicker? Are you guys attempting to pick up healing potions? That might allow you to use the lightning bolt again on the later bosses, and although picking up potions might cost a second or two here, it'd probably more than make up for it later.

It's not faster acctually, we've tried.

Just tried it out, you are right there.

Didn't think of that (how dumb didn't that sound). I think it re-do time!

You might find it easier to run Shadow of the Ninja (The U version) instead... what with having an extra 10fps. There is also a submission done for Shadow of Ninja which you could compare with.

Apparently no one's trying for it anymore, so I'm going to take up a two-player simultaneous run. Normally, I wouldn't undertake this project as I'm already busy with StarFox, but this is a school-only project (I have some free time) I think this will be "interesting" to do. So... any thoughts on this? Two player seems a bit hard, as I can't optimize moment since there are frames where I am forced to take my fingers off jump/attack for one player..... unless, I bind one key for all four actions, which would get pretty hectic. In any case, I think two jump-attacks per jump is relatively good, though I've noticed that the girl ninja seems to move a wee bit slower. As for my run so far, I'm close to the first boss, but I'm contemplating the use of shurikens as it will be more "visually pleasing" to see everyone get blown up rather than just jumped over. Again, thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. =) Hopefully I can upload a WIP sometime this week...

Are you saying that you are having problems keeping all buttons pressed? This is common because keyboards usually only detect so many keys at once. There are a couple solutions: bind multiple keys to the same button, or use the auto-hold feature in FCEU.

I have saw its movie. It is very wonderful. But before I saw this movie,we all use a ROM called "KAGE" which is the other edition. We always use bomb to deal with BOSS. I find if we can use bomb to deal with BOSS in stage2 and stage5 exactly,we will cut time futher. Please look picture. Now we maybe have a problem in stage2.I have tried 30 minutes, but I have not found a right way to attack it.I only beat it 2 HP every time.I remember I can only ues three bomb to destroy it before.~~~~~~~ai ~~~~~~I am oldder and order.

How about submitting this run? If you don't know how, first log in here and then click "Submissions" and there choose "Submit a movie".

It is alright, you didn't really break the rules. He was just saying that you submit your run to be viewed at http://tasvideos.org/SubmitMovie.html If you need help just ask. I'm sure someone will help you.

西坡 : You can submit the run. Try translate the page http://tasvideos.org/SubmissionInstructions.html It tell you how to put the run on the site. Then you will have your name on the site. Good job ! You deverse to have your name on the site with an improvement like that.

If you need help, just let me know. [Edit by Bisqwit: Replaced "a hand" with "help". Idioms don't translate well.]

Now you wait for people to watch the movie and vote. If you like, I can clean up the description for you, since you should probably elaborate on where you improved on the previous movie, what new strategies/glitches you found/used ... etc.
