I cannot get the Ocarina of Time movie to playback correctly. I've checked the FAQ and everything seems to be fine. The only difference between the rom used to make the video and my rom is the CRC. The movie's is B71170EC and mine is AEA23B69, but it doesn't seem like something that would make a difference since they are both USA roms. Is that in fact the problem, or do I need to do something other than find the correct rom?

That's probably the first thing to try - finding the right ROM. There are sometimes overdumps or bad dumps of games floating around. In the case of Ocarina of Time, I think there are actually three official released versions. The run uses v 1.0.

interestingly, when I use the same ROM and settings, I get a desynch during the 40 rupee collection.

The US Version was revised twice after the initial release. You nead to use USA v1.0 (not 1.1 or 1.2) but there's also a whole host of emulator desync problems based on what video plugin you use.

Argh. Well, my search begins I guess. Thanks for the help, wish me luck. Any other help can be e-mailed to me at nylittlefoot@yahoo.com. Edit: I found one that said it was version 1.0, and it's CRC was the same too. However, the movie de-synced at the same place. Is there anything else that may be the problem? Edit 2: Also, I've been able to view both Super Mario 64 runs and the Tetrisphere run, which makes me think that I have everything set up right.

Try fiddling with all the different settings on all the plugins until something different happens. Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form. Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form. Yes, just because something works with one game in no way means it will work with another. Also, you never said which plugins you were using...Use the same ones as Guanobowl.

I seem to have fixed it simply by checking the Raw Data box in the input settings. No idea what that did, but it's working now it seems. Thanks for all the help. Also, I said that everything was the same except for the CRC. That included the plugins. Anyway, again, thanks for the help.

What does "raw data" even mean, anyway? Bag of Magic Spam is annoying. I wish he'd shut up. Bag of Magic Spam is annoying. I wish he'd shut up. Bag of Magic Spam is annoying. I wish he'd shut up. @BoMF: Does all that even show up on your screen?

See, what happens is that if my post is too short, there'll be a page asking "Are you sure this is useful" or whatever, and now if I hit Yes, it won't post; it'll just go back to the reply screen with that error message stamped on it. So the only way I can post is if my post is really long. So I decided to be funny and pad posts with the error message I got. Is there a way to fix that?

Solution: use lots of spaces like so Raw data says what it does when you hover over it, it handles paks from an adaptoid -> controller -> rumble/memory pak

(This post actually goes out to anyone who's trying to view the Ocarina of Time WIPs) Have you tried using Rice's graphic plugin? It seemed to work for a few people who were having trouble viewing Guanobowl's WIPS. Also the Input Plugin must have only one controller selected.
