how can you use the jump glitch on console xD you need to be hella fast i guess :)! its executed in 20~frames? i dont know :/! well iam looking forward to the ninja parts.. the first chapter is so damn boring until the boss fight .. gogo :d!

I've managed to do tricks in Link's Awakening and Donkey Kong Country which have a 1 frame possibility to success with, so 20 frames is a very long time ;).

muy bueno. looked optimized and fully used good "takes damage to save time" tricks. and remember, if you ever feel like this: just keep at it!

It can still be like 2 frames faster, but I haven't been able to do it. You can see in the movie that it looks slower at one jump, I can probably hex edit this later... (After I've learned how it works.) Wanted to move on instead=P.

It seems somehow random when I really finish the lvl. It became all dark at frame 13729, but sometimes it can be over 800 in the end... EDIT: I found out that the shots are flying faster if you walk when shooting them. This is used at the very last hit on the boss. I tried it on the end of the first phase too, but for some reason it wasn't faster... I might have done some bad calculations, so I guess I'm going to double check.

WIP seems to be pretty smooth and after watching WIP 2 times, I didn't see any flaws. The most boring part is over now, so go keep up the good work! :)

I've noticed some things that I'm able to improve... Like when I fall into the second pipe, I should have turned left before it so I don't need to turn around after I landed. Time to learn how to use the hex editing I presume! I want to finsih the first ninja level first however. Am at the annoying statue, 1st... Do you want me to post a new WIP after each lvl? Or shall I post after each world? Or maybe none at all?=P EDIT: Hmm, how do you use the edit tool at all...? Couldn't find any information about it anywhere, didn't search that much but still...

Soooo! I have been hex editing like the whole run, I noticed a lot of stupid jumps and such. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/4649/MauiMallardTASTompaNinja.smv This is now 101 frames faster than before, ending at the same place. I'll continue from here now. If not anyone found something else that could be improved.

hrm, something's not quite right... it seems to have desynched, and become better optimized as a result gaining 101 frames. how interesting.... Is it me, or does every time you post a WIP I go and find another way to abuse the ninja? just when you thought I was done exhausting all the ninja moves, Here's some more! I sort of realized that all these can only work if opponents/enemies can be damaged every other frame...

After you showed be the first movies, I have been testing a few things with the ninja :). That can be use against the next boss, also at a few places later on. I want to get rid of this world as soon as possible, hehe, I like the music on the third one better =P.

Well well, I can honestly say that I haven't watched all of the WIPs, but this one looked really good. Couldn't find any appearant flaws, might be because I'm not very familiar with the game though. The game looks great and has got some good music, so I bet this'll be a great finished product.

I have to wait a few frames quite a lot of times in order to make the stupid ducks to stay on the ground. This is at least noteable during the fight against the last two.

Just watched it. My opinion: Please stop the wobbling. The screen doesn't react to it nicely in this game. Donald's an amusing looking sprite and I'm sure there are much more pleasant looking ways to spend idle time.

I'm going to hex edit my stupidity after the first boss to save like 60 frames. But neither of the hex edits programs I'm using is working proper atm. Stupid hex edit, never works as it is supposed to do... Guess I have to remake that sucky bossfight for this shitty movie.

When I continued I already was at the first lvl, so I went into the room and jumped around with turbo just for fun when I suddenly fell through... Oh well. It will only works at this point because the wind gives you some extra speed in that direction. Looks nice anyway =P.

very nice little trick right there. when redoing a linear game like this, it won't take as much effort to redo, since you'll know where to go and what to do, and maybe find some frame savers here and there. keep up the good work!
