I believe an author should be able to do what ever the hell he/she wants to do with her submission, as long as it doesn't violate the rules of this site, while taking into account common courtesy. If an author wants to cancel his run, so be it, he/she doesn't have to provide an explanation if he/she doesn't want to. What do you think the point of canceling a run is? You say you think "less" videos should be canceled, meaning you think that the cancel feature should still exist. So my question to you is: What criteria should one have to meet in order to be able to cancel a run? On a lighter note:

Actually, I'd say that, at TASvideos, 100% is a B-

85%... even in my junior high an A+ was 97%. Maybe he goes to some school desperate to keep students and funding?

I once got a 35 on a physics test in college and it rated a D. That's how low the curve was. Says something about the professor, doesn't it?

Unless you're comparing the same tests, those percentages mean nothing.

Isn't this comparable to "cancelling" your topic? This didn't go as you planned for it to go through with the audience it was aimed towards, so you want to cancel it. One would think that it's exactly the same deal with cancelling submissions.

In Ontario, lower percentages mean a higher alpha grade across the board compared to elsewhere in the world. In my high school, 80% was an A. 50% was the failing threshold. Then again, that was back in the ‘90s and after inflation that probably comes out to about 85% in 2007 percentages for an A.

I once got a 45% on an anatomy lab midterm which translated into a B-... but what're you gonna do when you're taught by TAs who don't know anything? EDIT: However all of my highschool classes had normal grading scales (ie 93-100=A, 90-93=B, 87-90=B+ etc... so it was great when I went to college to find that I didn't have to be super smart, I just had to be smarter than the other people who set the curve so low;)

Err, rephrase? How is a B higher than a B+? I always thought the normal grade breakdowns were 90-100 A, 80-90 B, 70-80 C, 60-70 D, 0-60 E/F. Then again, a lot of that depends on post-score class curvature and general teacher ambivalence (which happens a lot in college).

Oops, 90-93=A-, a B was a 83-87. Sorry for the confusion.
