Oh my god DK, my brother got that for christmas this year, it's amazing. We made one of the recipes in the manual thing: Putting a pie filling(we used strawberry) in between bread then grill it and put powdered sugar on top. It was awesome I guess one of my favorite sandwiches is a monte cristo which is like a fried/sugary turkey sandwich. Instant death but delicious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Cristo_sandwich

dude, the ONLY way to make those pie filled sammiches, skamastag, is using one of those sandwich cookers that gets used when camping. you put a slice of bread, the filling, and another piece of bread between those two metal pieces (as depicted in the picture) and start toasting over an open fire, and then adding the wonderful powdered sugar topping... (in agreement with you:) goddamn delicious! should be noted i am not doubting your sammich cooker's abilities... wish i had one T_T

I just threw together some of the stuff in the kitchen that was about to spoil: field greens in a hotdog bun with ranch dressing... It was better than an actual hotdog, believe it or not. My ideal sandwich is grilled cheese with bacon in it, though I'm not that particular about anything I eat.

Fried egg and Bierwurst with Tilsiter cheese on toasted whole grain wheat, with a small amount of (very) spicy mustard. This is my typical breakfast.

Toast Slice 3 Olive Spread Red Chillies German Peppered Salami Mayonnaise Toast Slice 2 Lettuce American Fried Wafer Thin Chicken Cheese Olive Spread Toast Slice 1 It tastes hot, but cool. Tangy, but mellow. Soft, but crispy. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my ideal sandwich. Any additional suggestions will be taken on board for the next version. I'm thinking bacon...

My ideal sandwich would be a) One slice of bread b) Some butter c) Cheese And done. It's cheap, tasty enough and fast. The ultimate sandwich however would be a totally different story. I need to invent one soon.

All of those sandwiches sound good to me; wish I could come over for lunch some time :) I recently had a tasty sandwich that I called the BLAST -- Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Steak and Tomatoes, plus a bit of mayo all on sourdough toast. I am also a big fan of fried eggs on sandwiches -- particularly on hamburgers. Butter and thinly sliced ham/prosciutto/salami/whatever on a fresh baguette is also very good. Actually, if I had to pick one sandwich to eat for the rest of my life, I'd be unhappy with whatever I chose after a while. So many sandwiches, so little time.

Because when it comes to summer, I want my sandwiches to be an awesome blend of taste and refreshment, as well as keep me going for most of the day. While I agree that simplicity is good, complexity and the right balance of ingredients is only harder, not worse.

Pretty simple for me. 1. Ham 2. Bacon 3. American cheese 4. Provolone cheese 5. Sometimes mayonnaise. 6. Sometimes toasted bread. I'm not gonna go into fast food or I'll be here all day. (Though I will say that Burger King's new Steakhouse burgers are fantastic.)

A Slice of bread, some mayo, 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of pepper jack cheese, and another slice of bread. It's easy to make, and easy to eat. I usually make like 3 or 4 of these at a time and then chow down.
