• VBA 19
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Glitches
  • Colors a Dracula
Hello. This run is 21 frames faster than the old WarpGlitch-run.
It feels a bit meh to submit a run which is only 21 frames faster but it has to be done.
6 + 6 frames are gained by scrolling through the cards faster while summoning by pressing <v and v> at the same time rather than take one row at a time(Not useful in the non warp run thankfully), 4 (Before first Dracula) + 2 (During first Dracula) from improved movement and 3 from lag reduction in the final battle.
Byebye!
adelikat made me do it.

Truncated: Not a lot to say here. Accepting this small improvement.

Shouldn't this be tagged with "Heavy Luck Manipulation"? You don't usually get multiple consecutive big bones as a skeleton.

As I'm familiar with the game, here's my opinion: I don't think it's such "heavy" luck manipulation. I may be wrong but I remember clearly having several big bones in a row (up to 3 max). In my opinion the odds are you have 10% chance to have a big bone. Though, I could also be extremely lucky. That wouldn't be the first time!

That overpowered bone toss along with the level ups were hilarious! Out of curiosity, why does it seem the other GBA Castlevania games get more TAS's submitted than this game?

Harmony of Dissonance is fun for frame hunters to pick over, since you move very fast and there's a number of out-of-bounds glitches to toy with. Aria of Sorrow is a highly-polished game and has a number of interesting options for how to play it. Circle of the Moon is comparatively unpolished, has very repetitive level design, and while it's breakable, the results aren't as hilarious as they are in the other games. So it's understandable that this game doesn't get as many runs. Personally, I'd love to see a "clean" playthrough that doesn't use the "access any card combination" glitch, but there doesn't seem to be much interest.
