I wrote this for fun. It's automatically updated whenever it's loaded. http://tasvideos.org/MostActivePosters.html [Edit: URL updated]

This is really cool. As more people choose signatures, that page will become quite colorful! BTW, what is the distinction between "active player" and "player?" Sleepz has many more movies made than myself, but he is only a "player."

Bad name for a title maybe, but it's based on post count. 50 posts is the threshold. Any ideas for new titles? :)

There are two 100x100 avatars and one 85x85.. Kinda makes me want to change mine to my 80x100 one ^_^;; Anyway, I'm for custom titles that can be defined after a certain limit. THat way, it doesn't matter how silly the default titles are.

You should put this users statistic as a direct link in the forum, just as the sites.

Nah... there's one similar function already in the user list. There's no good place for this. Just bookmark it if you're interested. :)

Bisqwit, since I'm "active" in this forum, I might as well let you know that I'll put up some links to your page in my forum & site (http://forum.elgen.net) at the time... Allright for you if I do so, or will you go ballistic, eh?

I'm bumping this for two reasons. One, I wager most of our newer users haven't seen or heard of this page before. Two, there's a mysterious "Anonymous" with some 408 posts listed, yet when I try to view the profile it says the user does not exist.

I think that's all of the Guest posts.

Anonymous = Guest. Anonymous posts are posts of deleted users. I'm not sure why the number is that big. -> http://tasvideos.org/forum/search.php?search_author=Anonymous

Some of those are actually constructive criticism. And then there's "this site sucks balls." I wonder who some of those are.

In August 2004, I deleted lots of users (hundred or two) with a script that attempted to find which users have been inactive. The motive was to delete users who have registered only to be able to browse the submissions but haven't been active for a long time. Some of them had posted messages.

If they had posted messages, how could they be "inactive?" How often must I post to remain "active?" I don't expect to contribute much at all over the Christmas break because my computer will be in my dorm room while I won't.

It analyzed the following things (copypaste from the email template it sent): * You never confirmed your registration. * You never logged in. * You have last visited the board N days ago. * You never posted. * You have only posted once. * You have posted N messages. Precisely, it selected users who have never logged in, or who have logged in over 50 days ago but posted less than 15 messages.

Okay, but I'll bet some of those people will be annoyed when they come back and their accounts are gone. And you can't tell them apart now, either.

Well, if they're not doing anything with the accounts, then I don't think they will mind. I haven't seen anybody complain about it yet.

But maybe they meant to come back later! You can't just assume stuff!

The email the script sent asked to reply to me if its decision was incorrect. I got two or three replies (and I of course restored those accounts).
