This is my New Year's gift, I hope you enjoy it! It's 149 frames faster than my last movie, 126 frames faster than my last submission, about Super Mario Bros walk through, but it's even faster in some levels that it doesn't count, and I did lots of tricks in it, one of them is new, which is the trick at the end of 8-2, I used a bullet to end faster. I didn't even think about it before! I think this one is much more perfect than my last one,it's better to watch!
And one more thing:Happy New Year!

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Here goes! Feel free to clean up the list.

adelikat: Accepting as an improvement to the published movie.

This movie has been published. The posts before this message apply to the submission, and posts after this message apply to the published movie. ---- [1243] NES Super Mario Bros. "warps, walkathon" by HappyLee in 06:51.03

This really should be encoded anew - the video looks much, much worse than past ones (the last SMB movies, at least; it's been a while since I watched any of the new videos published on the site).

There is no reason to still be using MPEG-2 - H.264 is far superior. Would you care to explain what exactly is unstable about it, except for the high CPU usage on 6 year old computers with shitty hardware/decoders?
Basically what you're saying here is if you had a video format which could not be played on any other computer but yours, and the quality was lossless and file size was a mb/min, then it would be perfect. What you're missing here is the fact that there may be quite a few people who have shitty 6 year old hardware, and if that's the case, and they don't have a ROM, then H26.4 is definitely not for them. So here's a radical thought: why don't you try using a different format, or encode in more than one format? It doesn't necessarily haveto be mpeg-2, but it will run on any machine without question.
Did you try FFDSHOW+WMP? (No, not WMPC)

meh, my improvement could save maybe 1-2 seconds. Pretty significant if you consider that this run improves the older submission by about 2.5 seconds. Happylee doesn't have to redo it, but since this is smb, I'm pretty sure he would. If not, someone else will eventually.

Go to SDA if you want to "delay" publications just because someone else found an "improvement" (that no one in the whole fucking world will notice anyway).
The fun of watching this thread get into a flamefest aside, this line here made me laugh. This never happens on SDA over 2 seconds of improvement. In fact, usually the suggestor gets told a few choice words about who he can go fuck. I actually do agree with the rest of what you've said in this thread, though (although not with the tone of it). There's a thread in general right now about more or less the same sort of issues. I find it odd that this non-optimal improvement would get accepted in the face of new finds, but I don't really know if you can call it double standards instead of just nasty irony.

You can't, since adelikat has admitted to have not noticed the post about improvement. Besides, scaring HappyLee away on his 11th submission for SMB? …Right.

If Happylee doesn't get back to this. I'll save this one for April Fools Day. ;)

Fair enough. I figured it was an oversight.
