Hi everyone, I am really struggling to watch .m64 files. I browsed the FAQ on this site and have been browsing google and youtube for the last 40 minutes or so and can't work out how to view these files. If anyone is wondering it is Sami's BK 100% zip .m64 files I'm trying to watch. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Do you have mupen rerecording v8? Have you extracted the .zip into the .m64 file? Do you have the right plugins? You need to be a little more specific, or else we won't be able to help much. Now, you'll be lucky (in terms of wanting to see the run) because some encoders are going to make an AVI/MKV encode of the whole run, in order to appease the lazy/whiny viewers. So, just sit tight and something will be posted to download and sent on youtube shortly.

Ok so I just downloaded Mupen rerecording v8, I've had a bit of a muck around with it but am still stuck. I've also tried looking for guides on how to extract .zip into .m64 files but am out of luck. Do you have any further advice or know a guide somewhere on the web to do this sort of thing? Thanks again.

Not all of us are lazy. Some of us just have computers that refuse to play nice with the plugins some authors choose. Now then, you'll want to go down this checklist: * You have Mupen rr v8, so you're in good shape there. * You'll also need to have the plugins specified by the movie file configured and in use before attempting to play the movie. * This should (hopefully) go without saying, but you also need the ROM used by the movie, Banjo-Kazooie (U) [!].z64. * Also, if you're having trouble opening zip files, I suggest installing 7zip. If all of the above is taken care of, carefully tended to, and still fails... you're not alone. Just wait for the encode, which should be coming shortly.

Please don't try to rhyme your problem with muck, stuck, and luck. :P

This seemed like a good thread for my issue... I'm new to TAS'ing for this platform, and have been having some trouble with mupen re-recording v8. A few q's for anyone with more experience using this emulator... 1. Is there no auto-hold feature? If not, how do ppl deal with situations where one's keyboard doesn't register holding, say, four keys down at once. I'm working on F-Zero-X, where having the throttle on auto-hold would be nice... 2. Is there no way to display the input when playing a movie? Thanks...

If there is no autohold, what you can do is assigning all the keys you want to press simultaneously horizontally on the same row. For instance, my keyboard would not recognize simultaneous pressing of "azsx", but has no problem with "asdf" and "zxcv".

There is an auto-hold and turbo feature, by either left or right clicking the buttons on the 0.6 TAS input. Input is displayed on the window bar at the bottom much like the frame count.
