Currently Turbo Grafx /PC Engine games have rerecording support via Mednafen: http://code.google.com/p/mednafen-rr/ TurboGrafx / PC Engine / SuperGrafx / CD-ROM² / SUPER CD-ROM² / Arcade Card CD-ROM are all supported. Currently mednafen is commandline only which can make it cumbersome to use for Windows users. There is a frontend called Let's Mednafen available here: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://lhsp.s206.xrea.com/works/frontend.html For Information on how to use mednafen-rr for rerecording, visit: http://code.google.com/p/mednafen-rr/wiki/MakingTAS

http://code.google.com/p/mednafen-rr/downloads/list Mednafen-rr v1.1 released. The main differences are for windows users. Atari Lynx, Wonderswan, and Neo Geo pocket are now compatible. Also, there is a Windows Mednafen front end packaged with it. It is designed specifically for mednafen-rr and movie related features.

Well, I know Rondo of Blood loads just fine with the rerecording version. Maybe it is something specific about that game? Also, are you making sure to load the pce bios file when you use the rerecording version?

Try mounting that image to a virtual drive or dumping it to a regular bin / cue. The windows port of Mednafen-rr can't load every kind of image the linux port can.

I couldn't get it to work with a virtual drive, but I was able to use the virtual drive + an old version of cdrwin to make it into a new bin + cue which worked fine. Thanks guys, sorry for the trouble.

I have some questions about the latest mednafen rr and the new mc2 recording format. Why was a new recording format needed? Why do zipped ROMs appear to no longer be allowed? I've also noticed that it doesn't appear to run any of the games I've thrown at it, including CD games. These items have all worked in previous mednafen and mednafen rr versions. I've noticed the new mednafen rr also doesn't seem to create the stdout file the old one did, meaning I cannot track down what's going wrong.
