The reading seems to suggest that it's not the strength of the preference so much as the type of preference, so the tests probably aren't accurate regarding magnitude. I would interpret your results as: Strong Introvert. Strong Intuitive. Somewhat Thinking. No preference Judging/Perceiving. pirate_sephiroth:

I took both tests and they both gave me the same answer with varying amounts. I got ISTJ. First test gave me: Strength of the preferences % Introverted: 100 Sensing: 25 Thinking: 50 Judging: 1 Second test gave me: Introverted (I) 70% Extroverted (E) 30% Sensing (S) 51.43% Intuitive (N) 48.57% Thinking (T) 60% Feeling (F) 40% Judging (J) 55.56% Perceiving (P) 44.44% ISTJ - "Trustee". Decisiveness in practical affairs. Guardian of time- honored institutions. Dependable. 11.6% of total population.

New test gave me INTP. Introverted (I) 63.33% Extroverted (E) 36.67% Intuitive (N) 52.63% Sensing (S) 47.37% Thinking (T) 82.76% Feeling (F) 17.24% Perceiving (P) 54.05% Judging (J) 45.95% I think this applies better to me than INTJ, when I read the type descriptions.

The bolded ones surprised me a lot, and are also true. The underlined ones are not really true. The rest is pretty accurate, as well as the favored and unfavored careers.

I got ISFJ on the first test and ISTP on the second one. Both of those describe me pretty well... I'm probably partway between the two. Oddly enough, the descriptions for ISTJ and ISFP were way off the mark (as were all of the others except maybe INTP, which I did get once earlier).

Either that, or the delicate search for theoretically perfect ways to play video games attracts a lot of "our kind". (Although those two aren't mutually exclusive.)

Your Type is INTJ Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging Strength of the preferences % 22 - 62 - 38 - 33 You are: * slightly expressed introvert * distinctively expressed intuitive personality * moderately expressed thinking personality * moderately expressed judging personality However the text below is what describes me the best, and it's actually spot on. D: "Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders. "

The test says I'm ENTJ (the fieldmarshall), that I'm a natural leader trying to get the best solution for everyone, always try to be objective and impartial, and that I should be running for presidency or management. Extraverted 33% Intuitive 25% Thinking 25% Judging 22% It also says that people like me are pretty rare, under 2% of total population. Heh.

I took that second test just for laughs -- at 48 questions it's not going to be able to strongly differentiate much at all. I came out with the following splits: 51.52%/48.48%; 55.56%/44.44%; 76.67%/23.33%; 50%/50%. In other words, I wouldn't trust that test to say anything about me except that I'm definitely a T, not an F.

Last time:
I 78%
N 31%
T 38%
J 11%

The first test:
I 67%
N 25%
T 50%
J 44%

The second test:
I 75% (E 25%)
S 52.78% (N 47.22%)
T 67.86% (F 32.14%)
J 53.85% (P 46.15%)
Like I said in the previous topic, I don't consider myself a very reliable source of information about myself, so some variance between tests should be expect. That, and I don't consider personality tests to be very accurate anyway.

Questioning the accuracy of a test seems pretty INTJ to me :)

I've been questioning whether or not "accurate" was the right word to use. After all, provided the test isn't horribly designed, it should simply regurgitate the answers you give it, meaning it would only be as accurate as the test taker makes it. Perhaps a better word to use would have been "useful." Does that make me more INTJ? :P

First test: Your Type is ISTJ Introverted 89 Sensing 50 Thinking 62 Judging 33 Second test: Introverted (I) 89.66% Extroverted (E) 10.34% Sensing (S) 54.55% Intuitive (N) 45.45% Thinking (T) 58.06% Feeling (F) 41.94% Perceiving (P) 56.41% Judging (J) 43.59% Your type is: ISTP Well, that sucks. A lot of the questions were vague and very hard to answer. Having to guess about yourself and your preferences is never a good thing. Also, "Often you prefer to read a book than go to a party. Yes/No" Where's the neither option?

If you can't answer the question literally, the idea is to break it down into what the question is really asking you. That one is a pretty transparent "are you sociable or not?"

I get that, but I wish they would just ask that question instead.

People have different idea on what constitutes being sociable.
