That was stunning Grunz. I am sure your run will easily be nominated as N64 tas of 2010 :P

I think this TAS will blow more than everything I've ever seen ! Incredible; you own the "Best MM TASer" title. Your work is always appreciated.

Awesome! Curious, have you been working on this run ever since the Woodfall WIP? Or how has the progress been? How much left? (Forgot what route is being used :P)

I work on the run daily, but progress is pretty slow, because I'm a really slow TASer I always need years to TAS stuff, although I have no big rerecord count since then I finished pirate's fortress. that's all next is pinnacle rock, then GBT, snowhead temple, stone tower, majora's mask

You might want to rephrase that.

This game is really annoying to TAS though because it desyncs so much.

Thats not the issue it used to be thanks to the introduction of antids.

Well it still desynchs pretty often.

Hmm the OoT Any% RBA TAS will probably come out this year, too. That will be tough competition. But I'm for the MM TAS, since it's more than catching bugs. ;D

Loving every update from MrGrunz and others. I really like the Stone Tower gap skip, and I can't wait to see what you do with the turtle/water temple in the final run. You should take as much time as you want with this run, MrGrunz, but please keep posting new TAS videos on your YouTube whenever it's appropriate :)

I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.

It's makes it easier for the typical viewer (considering many people can't even sync the .m64), which typically means more people see it and therefore more feedback.

Who said posting m64 means you can't also post YouTube video?

just want to let you know, that I'm re-doing a huge part of the TAS. I re-started from the first time I visit terminia field as normal link. I discovered some significant improvements and I can also optimize everything a bit better (became way better since then). those improvements mainly come from a new fairy fountain wrong warp strategy, that gives me 4 extra explosives, which I can use to add a few crazy little time saving tricks, I've discovered. I'm at mikau again now and I'm 12 seconds ahead already. as most improvements are done at GB, I won't save as much time in all the other places, but I'm probably able to save a few frames everywhere by optimizing and I'll also try to entertain as much as possible. the problem is, that hexing stuff in is nearly impossible for MM. it just desynches way too easily. that means I have to re-do everything now, but as I know, how to clear most sections perfectly now, progress should be much better ;)

12 seconds is a great amount of time being saved until where you are. It's great that you're going over everything again for the run. It'll come out even better, more optimized. Just make sure you don't lose any frames anywhere. I'm sure this run will be THE run of 2010

Hope you can somehow remain motivated until you finish the run! I'm just saying because you seem to always set yourself pretty high goals. But that's also why everybody loves your TASes so much. ;)

I got indication (don't remember exactly how and by who) that Petrie intended to do a 100% tas. Is this by any chance true? :)

I'm pretty sure that that's just a rumor and no fact at all. we also have no real 100% route yet. the one we have is far away from being optimal, so before someone does this run he has to time a lot of shit first ;)
